Dogs aren’t born knowing our rules.

Before correcting a behavior, ask yourself: Did I actually teach my dog what I wanted instead?

Teach it. Reinforce it. Practice it. Then hold them accountable.

Clear expectations create clearer dogs.

There are many ways to train a dog, and no single method fits every dog.

When training is backed by science, education, experience, and a real understanding of how dogs learn, different methods can all have their place.

The goal shouldn’t be proving which method is better. It should be understanding the dog in front of us and knowing what to use, when to use it, and how to use it.

1. Train your dog
Basic obedience isn’t just about commands. Your dog needs to understand how to behave, follow your guidance, and remain under control even when distractions are everywhere.

2. Socialize & desensitize
Cars, crowds, kids, dogs, noises, restaurants, elevators, new places.
expose your dog gradually and teach them that the world around them is normal, not something they need to fear or react to.

3. Teach your dog how to do NOTHING
This one is underrated. Your dog doesn’t always need to interact, play, explore, or get attention. Teach them to settle beside you, switch off, and simply exist calmly in different environments.

Having your dog with you everywhere is a privilege, and that privilege is earned through training.

Put in the work, and instead of leaving your dog behind, you’ll have a companion that can experience life with you. 🐕

Choosing the right dog for your kids isn’t about picking the cutest breed;
it’s about choosing the right match for your family’s lifestyle.

A few things every parent should consider:
🐾 Energy level – Can your family keep up with an active dog?
🐾 Temperament – Look for stability, patience, and confidence.
🐾 Size – Bigger doesn’t always mean more dangerous, and smaller doesn’t always mean safer.
🐾 Trainability – A well-trained dog is far more important than the breed itself.
🐾 Time commitment – Every dog needs training, exercise, and structure.

One of the biggest mistakes people make is choosing a dog based only on appearance. The right dog is the one that fits your home, your routine, and your expectations.

Remember: No dog is born “good with kids.” Success comes from responsible breeding, proper socialization, training, and teaching children how to respectfully interact with dogs.

The best family dog is the one that’s the right fit, not the most popular breed. ❤️🐶
