We've been growing some new seeds to keep us entertained in the garden, and now we've got our "Lemon Drop It Like It's Hot" pepper sauce made from Aji Lemon Drop peppers! We are very excited for you guys to try this flavor combination. There is a limited supply so please comment on here or DM us for your bottle.

We will be selling seedlings of this pepper variety in the near future!

(Sorry for the little repost guys, had to get the size right 😋)

Here's a little tomato that sprouted not too far from it's parent plant that has now passed away (you can see a dried limb behind the little tomato).

Tomatoes need both female and male reproductive organs to produce fruit and both are located in a single flower for the tomato plant. They also require pollination from bees or by people in order to successfully fruit.🐝
Once this occurs the fruit begins to form. Many things can occur between the beginning of fruit formation and the end but if all goes well then the fruit will ripen. 🍅👍

Throughout a tomato's lifespan some fruit might not be harvested and thus it drops or something eats it. 🕊️

If the tomato does drop, within two weeks it will decompose enough for the seeds to make contact with the soil and they will use the moisture from the tomato as well as in the area to sprout like this little one did.🌱

We hope everyone is ready for this storm 🤞. We learnt from Grace that these storms can be more serious than predicted, therefore we made sure to prep for the worst by taking down our vertically growing plants, laying down our shelves (before the storm does) and putting most of our plants inside.

Although we've probably got a few more storms to grow through we aren't planning on missing this opportunity to get our cucumbers settled in big pots and ready to produce! 🥒

Since these plants love water we're hoping that they appreciate the rain but we made sure to let the vines run on the ground so that the winds don't cause too much stress from pushing them against the fence they grow on. ⛈️🌀

God's willing we hope to soon find new homes for some of the cucumbers and also share moringa seeds with their new owners! We'll be giving away 30 seeds with any pair of plants that are purchased, which is a perfect way to see for yourself how moringa seeds changes your life.

Meet the Sikkim cucumber! This is the first time that we have grown this Indian heriloom variety but we couldn't be more happy with how beautiful it turned out 😍

Since we don't have many of these seeds left we had to save more to plant which was definitely harder than saving pepper seeds but it also didn't leave our skin burning which was nicer 😂

When collecting cucumber seeds it's very important to clean the pulp off of the seeds before drying them to lower the chances of fungus growing on them. This can be done by placing your seeds in water until the pulp falls off. Once that is complete you can pour out the liquid containing the pulp and wash your seeds before putting them to dry.

After about 5 days of stirring the seeds as they dry, you can then plant or store your seeds for the next time you want more cucumbers! 🌱

Have you ever wanted your own fresh supply of organic cucumbers? Sometimes it may feel like your cukes come in waves and we have certainly experienced the feeling before 🏄‍♂️. Although external factors like the weather can make it harder to guarantee a continuous harvest throughout your season, succession planting is one way you can raise the chances that you'll have lots of cukes year round.🥒

Cucumbers can be planted every 3-4 weeks to allow cucumber seedlings to mature and get ready to produce fruit, while at the same time allowing you to harvest delicious cucumbers as you wait for more 🍽️! This is what we mean by succession planting and it can be done for many more plants that we can't wait to talk about! 💚

Check out this dramatic before and after.
Normally we try to prune off suckers before they get too large, in order to cause the plant less stress but occasionally they do get big. If this occurs, we make sure to cut them off according to the moon to reduce the chance of diseases. (We think it's always a nice idea to cut according to the moon though, not just in this circumstance). 🌒

Pruning increases air flow which helps to reduce diseases and pests. It also makes it easier for light to pe*****te under the plant's canopy to it's lower leaves and fruit allowing for a healthier plant . 💚👍

Thus far it has been a nice experience growing dragon fruit, even the summer sun can't disturb it - in fact it seems to enjoy it!☀️

Dragon fruit is often considered a little bland on its own but pairs beautifully in fruit salads with mango, papaya and pineapples for example 🥭🍍🥗
Of course they can always be juiced or put into smoothies as well.
We are grateful to be able to grow them, looking forward to seeing them flower and excited to eat the fruit!

We have a few cuttings potted,if anyone is interested please let us know. Thank you :)

Giving thanks! ✨ We were blessed by the birds again with a new (to us) variety of passionflower we haven't seen before! 🙏🕊️

It is a very tiny flowering and fruiting vine with a slightly different flower shape from some of the more common passionflowers. 💮

We are super excited to clone and grow more of these as well as find out what variety it is! If you know what type of passionflower this is please comment down below the scientific name 💚🌱
