TUESDAY WAS A GREAT DAY!
We had the absolute pleasure of hosting 32 amazing children from Hope Care Centre for a fun-filled day at Xina Stables!

Located in Sosian Estate, Eastlands, Hope Care Centre was founded in 2020 and provides a safe, loving home to children aged 3 to 17 years. On Tuesday, the kids enjoyed an exciting escape into nature, bonding with our gentle horses, learning basic riding skills, and simply soaking up the serene beauty of the stables.

Their laughter, curiosity, and bright smiles filled the air with joy and reminded us why we love what we do. We’re grateful for the chance to share this special day with such brave, brilliant young souls—and we can’t wait to welcome them back again!

Are you ready for some horsey fun this April? Bring your little riders (ages 14 and below) for an unforgettable day at the Xina Stables PONY CAMP!

🌿 Meet our friendly horses, including our newest additions!
🐎 Enjoy a 30-minute horse riding lesson with our skilled trainers.
🧼 Get hands-on with grooming, tacking, and stable mucking.
🎉 Make new horsey friends and share stories, laughs, and fun activities!
🥤 A small snack and drink are included.

Let’s Learn Some Horsey Lingo! 🐴✨

Here are some common horse terms every rider should know:

✅ STALLION – A mature male horse that can reproduce.
✅ MARE – A mature female horse over 4 years old.
✅ FOAL – A young horse (any gender) still with its mother.
✅ FILLY – A young female horse under 4 years old.
✅ C**T – A young male horse under 4 years old.
✅ YEARLING – A horse that is officially 1 year old.
✅ GELDING – A castrated male horse.
✅ PONY – A fully grown horse under 14.2 hands tall.
✅ HANDS – The unit used to measure a horse’s height (1 hand = 4 inches).
✅ MULE – A cross between a horse and a donkey.
✅ TACK – Equipment used for riding, like saddles and bridles.
✅ GREEN HORSE – An inexperienced or untrained horse.
✅ WITHERS – The highest point of a horse’s back, used for measuring height.
✅ FARRIER – A skilled craftsman who trims and shoes horses’ hooves.

🐴 CLOSED FOR HORSE CARE! 🐴

Our beloved horses received their annual vaccinations this week, and they’ll need a little downtime to rest and recover. To ensure their well-being, we will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
We’ll be back in action on Thursday, March 27th—see you then!
