Yesterday was a long and winding day. This Iconic girl Doeland Farina of Athyvine took her last breath having been with us for 12 years, 7 months. The powerhouse behind our kennel. Those who talk of rich colour on Athyvine dogs, this was the source. She has given us amazing dogs Viera, veer, Vina, Diesel, Gas, Imani.... We thank God for this wonderful dog, In 2019, she underwent a major surgery and thought that was it, boom she bounced back and lived strong for another 2 plus years. Rest with the Angels.

Having a good dog is very satisfying to a breeder and owner alike. More so especially when the owner would proudly attach the bloodline or the breeding kennel prefix. Common with new import dogs and known bloodlines world over. As a practice, its prudent to extend the same and acknowledge the great dogs locally bred and acquired into our kennels. Very useful especially when guiding a a would be new puppy owner to avoid getting close relative dogs from different breeders. My thought for the day.🙂

This photo is phenomenal and memorable. Shot in 2007 near mto Mawe Athi river. These were the first three dogs we owned, out for a walk ,normally every Sunday afternoon. See the background, far left the heavy green vegetation, is where estate sits today. This road is now non existent and instead, a power generation plant was put up. See the beauty of nature.
