🚨 RABIES VACCINATION CAMPAIGN – Watamu & Dabaso

A rabies outbreak has been confirmed in the Watamu area. In collaboration with the Kilifi County Government, we’re launching a free mass vaccination campaign for cats and dogs to protect our community.

Rabies is deadly — but 100% preventable.
💉 One vaccine can save a life. Every vaccinated animal helps stop the spread, protects families, and prevents fear-driven cruelty.

📅 11–15 August 2025

📍 Multiple locations across Watamu & Dabaso (see flyer)

Following reports and a circulating video of a dog at risk in Diani, our team at KSPCA took immediate action.

Thanks to swift collaboration with the police, the dog has now been rescued and brought to safety as the legal process continues.

The County Government of Mombasa will be carrying out a free rabies ring vaccination campaign for dogs and cats this week. If you live in the following areas, please make sure to bring your pets for vaccination:

📍 Bungoni Catholic Church
📍 Jomo Kenyatta Beach

🗓️ 18th July 2025
📍 Maweni
📍 Kongowea Primary
📍 Uwanja wa Mbuzi Play Field

🕘 Time: 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM

🐶🐱 Pet owners are strongly encouraged to attend.
👉 Dogs must be on a leash
👉 Cats must be brought in secure carriers (strictly no plastic bags or unsafe containers)

KSPCA Mombasa will be supporting this vital public health effort. Let’s protect our pets and communities from rabies – one vaccine at a time!
