📣 WE’RE HIRING: WELFARE OFFICER in Vipingo!

KSPCA Mombasa is looking for a dedicated Welfare officer to join our KSPCA Mombasa in Vipingo team and support our growing shelter and field operations.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of animal welfare intervention. This includes responding to welfare concerns, supporting rescue efforts, conducting inspections, and engaging with communities to promote responsible animal care and humane treatment.

Preferred: Background in Animal Health plus experience in animal welfare, investigations, rescue operations, community engagement, or related work.

❗️A genuine passion for animal welfare, integrity, and a willingness to learn are essential.

❗️TODAY IS THE LAST DAY IN WHICH OUR OLD SHELTER IN NYALI WILL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC❗️

You can now find us at the new shelter in Vipingo within the Mombasa Cement Limited (who have generously supported us in making this happen) - turn on the highway as if you were going to the factory and ask about KSPCA at the main gate.

If you cannot reach Vipingo but you have found an animal in need, you want to report an animal cruelty case or you’re interested in adopting, please call our office line:

Monday-Sunday 9am to 5pm

We will do our best to intervene as soon as possible.

What’s the plan for Nyali? We’re still looking for an affordable and available place to rent and guarantee our presence in the Mombasa area. If you know of any opportunity please reach out!

We’ve started moving the cats, and it has not been easy.

Coastal Kenya has been hit by heavy rains, which have delayed our operations and the final touches to our new shelter. We had to use every “sun window” to safely relocate 100 of our 200 cats.

We’ve reached a particularly challenging stage of the relocation. We’re almost there, but there is still so much to do and many unforeseen costs to cover.
