A few years ago I got this dog. Then I had not heard about a ridge back, so was told this is a rhodesian ridge back. In my ignorance I took is a the truth because of a ridge on the back, not knowing that there are no black ridgebacks. But though it did not meet the breed standard this dog has so much prey drive and is so good with children. I got its obedience down to a tee but it can ignore you also. Its approaching 10 years and still full of life.
