Microscopy is one of the most important tools yet undervalued in some areas. There are so many details that we can get whenever we insit on doing either a blood slide, a swab sample, a skin scraping, or a tape impression smear. There is so much to be seen that usually helps us to know or guide us in the right direction to the diagnosis.
The 2 most important parts of any examination is usually a detailed history from the owner and microscopy.
Q. What do you see?
1. Blood cells
2. Bacteria
3. Skin cells
4. Parasites.

Parvo enteritis is a killer in unvaccinated puppies..It’s costs very little to vaccinate and cost everything to treat(time,money and emotions) please ensure it is done by a qualified registered vet surgeon.This puppy was supposedly vaccinated by a quack!!!!

This 5 year old male Kitty was brought in by good samaritans who had noticed his left eye was disfigured, he was in pain and in need of quick intervention.
The best course of action was an eye enucleation as the damage to the eye was quite extensive .
We are happy to report that Kitty is doing much much better and he is looking forward to spending the rest of his 8 lives doing what he does best... hunting and napping 😺
