Thanks for bringing your furbaby to Pawsitively Primped! I promise your furbaby will be cared for in my home as he/she were my own. I am a base registered and approved grooming salon. I have been a certified groomer for approximately 8 years. I have boarded pets off and on throughout that time. Throughout my 8 years of grooming I have worked and managed successful salons, mobile grooming, as well

as my own successful home salon before arriving here in Okinawa. Pets have always been a passion of mine and I live by positive reinforcement measures for training and care of my pets, and yours. Grooming is my passion, and while I have had many opportunities to go back to my original profession choice of health care, I can't imagine not getting all those puppy kisses every day! Grooming is not my job, grooming is my heart!

Pawsitively Primped Grooming is officially closed permanently. I can't begin to thank you all enough for the amazing three years. You all have allowed me to make new friends, love your pets, show myself I can be successful, and enjoy all your pups in our home. I can't ever thank you all enough for the memories ❤️

I will keep my page open just in case anyone ever needs advice, help, or just wants to say hi :-)

If anyone ever ends up around New Bern, NC, let's do lunch :-)

Hello everyone! This post is joined with some sadness. The good news is, we are blessed enough to have our offer accepted on a house in North Carolina! The bad news is, the sellers need out from under it and need the house closed on June 30. This means that I will be leaving around June 16 to attend our daughter's college graduation and then heading straight to North Carolina to close on our house. My husband's orders are set for August so he will have to remain here, but that leaves me to do all the dirty work stateside.

With this news, I need to plan the very heartbreaking step of PCS, and that is closing my business. As of right now I anticipate closing up shop on Wednesday June 14. I think I have gotten in touch with anyone this may affect, but if I missed someone, please don't panic and just message me lol I'm doing all I can to ensure I can get everyone taken care of before I go.

To the rest of you, if you would like to set up an appointment before I leave, please send me a message. I am off this weekend enjoying some time with my family before I have to leave and getting the house ready for PCS, so if I don't get back to you for a day or two, please be patient. I will be getting to messages a little bit here and there and will answer them in the order they are received, so please message soon if you want to get in before I go.

I really hope I am able to see most everyone before I go, but if I don't, please know that I have valued each and every one of my clients that have made my business what it is. Grooming has been hard on my body, but my clients have made it easy on my heart. The 3 years here have been tremendous, and I have made some wonderful friends through this business that I hope to be in touch with for a very long time. This is also the end of my grooming career, so know that you all have allowed me to go out with a bang. I can only hope that my next career endeavors can include as many wonderful people as I have encountered through Pawsitively Primped.

Hello everyone! I just wanted to make a couple important announcements:

1: I am no longer actively accepting new clients. Unfortunately that time has come where I am preparing for PCS. I will remain open til around Mid-late July, but at that time we will be closing and moving on to our new adventures. Things have changed and it now looks like North Carolina, unless something changes again lol I am not at all looking forward to saying goodbyes, but I do hope I will continue to see all of you for as long as absolute possible! As we lock down dates in the coming couple months, I will update my page with time frames, closing dates, etc. as we know them.

2: I am only working 3-4 days a week due to family being here, with a rare full work week as absolutely needed while also making as much time for my very loved extended fur family (aka, all your pups lol), so please keep that in mind when needing an appointment. I am no longer accepting new clients so that I can keep as many appointments open to my regular and valued clients, however, I still book out quite far sometimes. So please book in advance as possible. If you message outside of work hours and/or on a day off, please be patient. I'm trying my hardest not to be a workaholic while my family is here, so sometimes it may be a couple days, depending on how many days I'm off. If I am taking a few days off in a row I will try to update my auto messages to inform you of that.

3: Please note the Foster gate changes. A couple gates have changed. Commissary gate remains unchanged; the Spot Gate is now open 24/7, the Fire Station Gate (the one past the Spot Gate by Gen restaurant) is now closed indefinitely; the Legion Gate remains unchanged; the Macaroni Grill/Terra gate is now closed weekends and open 0500-2100 Mon-Friday; and the SgtMaj Gate is closed permanently. If you need new directions to the gates that are open, please message me before your appointment.

Thank you all for being such wonderful people and being patient with me through all this action lol This PCS likely brings the end to my grooming career (other than maybe some rescue grooming or grooming for friends), so being able to love on your furbabies is quite valued right now! I have learned and enjoyed so much about the last 3 years with all of you, and I hope we can get in a few more wonderful moments before we leave in July/August

‼️Important Foster gate changes to note!‼️

For those of you who come from the fire station gate (the second gate) on the 130 (the road off the 58), you will want to turn into that first gate after turning off of the 58 by "The Spot" (where the Pizza Hut and stuff is). I never go in that gate so I will have to get directions confirmed, but I believe once you go in that gate you'll turn left at the first stop sign (across from the ball fields and Ocean Breeze) to go up the hill past that gate you usually came in and continue following directions from there as usual. I will go run around today to confirm those directions.

Legion Gate and Commissary gate are unaffected by these changes.

Anyone needing new directions, please PM me before your appointment. I will work on getting new ones ready after work today to reflect these changes, but I don't like to post them on my public page for security reasons.

Good morning everyone! I am back in Oki and getting back into the swing of things. We now have two Marines in the family, as our vacation was for the very special occasion of watching our son graduate boot camp! It was an absolutely amazing trip and I don't know that I've been able to keep the smile off my face when I talk about it. So proud of my guys! Seeing them together in uniform...ahhhh! Such a proud proud moment ❤❤❤❤

Anyway....I am going to be catching up on messages starting today. I will be doing so between dogs, so bear with me as I get through these the next couple days :-)

Hello! We are back from an amazing vacation to Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia.

I am getting through messages slowly, but surely. Please bear with me while I catch up in order they were received.

We leave for a week in March for our son's boot camp graduation and then things will calm down for a bit :-) if you want to book appointment around that trip (March 4-15) please let me know.

Also, just a reminder, we are now on Foster.

There have been some changes in scheduling and number/size of dogs I can take due to the set up and location change, so thank you all for being so patient and understanding while I adjust to this new location and figure things out. I'm doing my best to accommodate everyone I can as quickly as possible ❤

Hey everyone! I see I have messages. Today (Friday) was the first day of our move and I still have tomorrow to go because they couldn't get it all. Today was a super busy day and even busier night figuring out where to put all this stuff that we no longer have storage for lol time to purge....some more lol

Anyway, I will get to everyone this weekend. Thank you for your continued patience!

Just for laughs...new house...greatest place for a toilet paper holder...or not. Lol we may have to switch to 1 ply so it fits and I may or may not have constant back issues from reaching the toilet paper...but whatever 😂😂🙈🙈

Hello everyone! Sorry for the disappearance. Things have been pretty crazy with the move. I will be finishing up the give aways this week.

We will be moving on the 13th to Foster and we will be opening grooming that following week. On the 22nd we are leaving for vacation for two weeks, and then will be back to normal for a month :-) before heading to California for a week. Once that is done, we should all be good to go for a while lol

I am now booking appointments for Foster. Including taking a few select new clients (small dogs mostly, big dogs will be limited). I will be working an occasional weekend day for dual working clients only, simply because I am trying to be accessible for my Kadena and other bases people who can't drive all the way to Foster in a quick lunch. I will also continue to do half day drop offs/pick ups, with advance notice only. Weekends will be very limited, due to the fact that they will be 6 day work weeks for me, and my husband is home on weekends, so please understand that if you can make another day work, that would probably work in your best interest most of the time.

Hello everyone! Looks like we will be moved around the 10th, but with the long weekend we may not know exact dates until next week. It will be a quick and easy one day move, so it shouldn't impact business too much, except the day of the move. I am going to go ahead and schedule some dogs for this coming week and the following week, but please be aware I may have to change some around. I will do my best to give as much notice as possible. I will be contacting people personally if our move will affect upcoming services and to ensure the move to Foster is directly communicated and still works for future services as soon as I know more info about the date of the move.

I am putting in paperwork for fencing, finishing a groom dog, and stuff and then I will do the drawing and put up more goodies, and get to messages :-) thank you all for being so patient!

Hello guys and gals! Wanted to update a little on the housing situation. Housing has offered us a new house. It's on Foster. We are going to view it today. So Pawsitively Primped may just be relocating to a new base. Bittersweet. Much better than living in a hotel for 4 months! And much better than being housing on Kinser or something too lol

I should know more solid information later today, but just wanted to keep everyone updated. As soon as I know more about when this relocation will take place I will update further and start getting to messages.

I really hope you all are able to make this transition with us ❤ losing my Pawsitively Primped family is definitely one of the issues with this relocation. I will do everything I can to work with schedules and such to try to keep the fam together as long as possible ❤

I know I have messages in the inbox waiting to schedule appointments, but this morning my husband received an email from housing stating they have a house ready for us and want to move us! So as soon as he gets hold of them and finds out when that move should be taking place I will start setting appointments :-) yay! No hotel for 4 months before our pcs! Let the celebrations commence! Lol
