The 14th annual meeting of Japanese College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
This is Dr. Suzuki from Ichikawabashi branch hospital.
I attended lectures on clinical pathology (hematology, urinary analysis, cytology and liver biopsy), treatment of feline cardiomyopathy, case presentations, and case studies on gastrointestinal diseases and emergency diseases. I've learnt many things. During the meeting, I reunited with friends and my senior vets and got acquainted wit some other vets. I really enjoyed the meeting.

Case conference on tumor patients.

We invite Dr. Sugiyama, a certified oncologist of the Japan Veterinary Cancer Society, to the case conference on tumor patients once every 2 months.

Five branch hospitals of AC plaza Kariya Animal Hospital were connected via the teleconference system and we had lively discussions on diagnoses and treatments of four cases in real-time.

We'll make use of what we learned in this conference for the treatment of other patients suffering from cancer.

This is Dr. Suzuki from Ichikawabashi branch hospital.
I gave a case presentation in the 18th meeting of the Japan Veterinary Cancer Society held at Hotel New Otani Osaka on January 27 and 28.
My presentation was set in the morning on the first day. Some attendees asked questions. I think my presentation went well.
The Japan Veterinary Cancer Society gave me a certificate of appreciation for my presentation.

The main symposium was hemangiosarcoma in the spleen. It is a malignant tumor derived from the endothelial cells of the blood vessel.
I got many useful informations from many lectures and presentations.
I'd like to make use of what I learned at the meeting to do better clinical practice.

2017 ACVP/ASVCP Concurrent Annual Meeting

Hi, this is Dr. Suzuki from Ichikawabashi branch. I attended 2017 ACVP/ASVCP Concurrent Annual Meeting held on 4th-8th November at Vancouver Convention Centre, Vancouver, British Columbia C, Canada.
ACVP stands for the American College of Veterinary Pathologists and ASVCP stands for the American Society for Veterinary Clinical Pathologists. This meeting is one of the world biggest meeting on veterinary pathology and many pathologists from all over the world attend.
I gave a case presentation at the poster session. It is very rare that a clinician working at a Japanese private hospital gives a presentation at this meeting, because doing scientific research is often difficult without belonging to an institute or university. Some pathologists came to see my poster and gave a question and discussed the pathogenesis with me. It was really good opportunity to discuss with world leading pathologists.
Besides presentation, I attended many lectures on cutting edge themes. I had a very beneficial time in Vancouver!

2017 Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Veterinary Clinical Pathologists

Hi, this is Dr. Suzuki (DVM, PhD, DJCVP) from Ichikawabashi branch.
I attended the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Veterinary Clinical Pathologists held at Japan Veterinary and Life Science University on 24th and 25th of June.
I gave a case presentation of 'Severe non-regenerative anemia in a retrovirus-negative cat: a Necropsy case' in a session of "Dry Lab: Microscopic Discussing of Anemic Disease".
Including two specialists of ACVP (American College of Veterinary Pathologists) invited from USA, we had a very deep and incredible discussion in English with a toatl of seven clinical pathologists (DACVP: Clinical pathology).
I attended several lectures, and learned a lot about anemic disease and bone marrow diseases. Of those, the lecture on artificial blood was very surprising. I didn't know the techniques has developed to such level. It is very nice that human medicine and veterinary medicine collaborate together.
To my knowledge, there is no other academic society where so many ACVP specialists gather in Japan, so I am very honored to have a chance to give a presenataion and discuss with them.
I hope this meeting will continue in the future.

Vision of our hospital
=================
“AC Plaza” stands for “Advanced Care Plaza” and means “A place to provide advanced care with one step further.” By using such a name for our hospital group, we demonstrate our aim of being hospitals that sincerely respond to the needs of beloved animals and their owners in various life situations. We place great importance on the “Human-animal bond”, and seek to offer suitable medical treatment and care to animals according to the individual requirements of each family or owner.

=================
History of our hospital
=================
●After the first hospital was established in Koto-ku of Tokyo in 1974, the branch hospitals were also opened in Edogawa-ku, Ichikawa-shi, and Adachi-ku. In the 40 years since then, we have become known as a community-based home animal doctor.

●In 1991, before other animal hospitals, we introduced a membership-based health management system for supporting pets’ health management throughout the year. We aim to operate a more personal or individual health diagnosis system, and are continuously improving the system even today.

==============
Origin of our logo

●The colors green and purple symbolize “Comfort” and “Professional” respectively.

●The ring surrounding the animals connects the sun with the moon, and sends the message “We are carefully watching and protecting you and your pet for a happy life around the clock”.

●We are actively introducing high-performance medical examination equipment and technologies. In 2014, we introduced a CT scanner, which has certainly contributed to an improvement in diagnostic accuracy.
