🇬🇧 Ali sang “Frère Jacques” in Arabic. Nadja sang it in French. Maria in Italian. Ragna in English. Four countries, the desert, one song we all grew up with.
That’s what riding with us looks like, people from all over the world, sharing something as simple as a childhood song on horseback in the desert.

🇫🇷 Ali a chanté “Frère Jacques” en arabe. Nadja l’a chanté en français. Maria en italien. Ragna en anglais. Quatre pays, un désert, une chanson que nous connaissons tous depuis l’enfance.
C’est ça, monter à cheval avec nous, des gens du monde entier, réunis autour d’une chanson d’enfance, à cheval dans le désert.

🇬🇧 Day 5: What if your day began with dog cuddles?
Al Rahib deciding he wasn’t following anyone today.
He pulls ahead of Amir and Knafeh, born to lead.
The morning before that was slower, two wet noses, two dogs who claimed you before you’d even opened your eyes.
We pass Umm Ad Dami and Umm Fruth, lunch easy while the horses dig into their hay. One more canter before the light turns gold, then the fire takes over from the sun.

🇫🇷 J5 : Et si ta journée commençait avec des câlins des chiens?
Al Rahib qui décide qu’aujourd’hui, il ne suivrait personne.
Il dépasse Amir et Knafeh, né pour mener. La matinée avant ça était plus calme, deux truffes humides, deux chiennes qui t’ont adopté avant même que tu aies ouvert les yeux.
On passe devant Umm Ad Dami et Umm Fruth, déjeuner tranquille pendant que les chevaux mangent leur foin. Encore un galop avant que la lumière ne devienne dorée, puis le feu prend le relais du soleil.

🇬🇧 Day 2: What happens when there’s nothing left to distract you from yourself?

We rode through Wadi Sabet today, wide-open desert with soft sand and rocky hills. Lunch was at Abu al-’Ubay, a relaxed lunch spot known to local Bedouins. In the afternoon, we rode to Sad al-Taq, sad means “well” in Arabic, an old Bedouin well still used to water animals passing by.
No stress. No rush. Just a straightforward day of riding, resting, and exploring real places.
Stay till the end, the sky had something to say tonight ✨

🇫🇷 J2 : Que se passe-t-il quand il ne reste plus rien pour te distraire de toi-même ?

Aujourd’hui, on a traversé Wadi Sabet, un désert à perte de vue, avec sable doux et montagnes. Déjeuner à Abu al-‘Ubay, un endroit calme bien connu des Bédouins locaux. L’après-midi, direction Sad al-Taq, “sad” veut dire puits en arabe, un vieux puits bédouin encore utilisé pour abreuver les animaux qui passent par là.
Pas de stress, pas de précipitation. Juste monter à cheval, se reposer, découvrir des lieux authentiques.
Reste jusqu’à la fin, le ciel avait quelque chose à dire ce soir ✨

🇬🇧 Day1 : What does the beginning of freedom feel like?

Our 6-day May ride began at the stables, horses waiting patiently for the riders coming from Petra. We crossed the red desert to Al Barrahiq, lunch in the shade of the mountain, then on to Wadi Um Rdagh for the overnight, the afternoon sun welcoming us in.
This year, Sheikh and Sahab ran free alongside the group, future trail horses in the making. And every step of the way, our faithful dogs Manga and Ellie.

The stars of the ride: Noor, Amir, Knafeh, Al Rahib, and running free, Sheikh and Sahab.

🇫🇷 J1 : À quoi ressemble le début de la liberté ?

Notre randonnée de 6 jours en mai a commencé aux écuries, les chevaux attendant patiemment les cavaliers venus de Petra. Nous avons traversé le désert rouge jusqu’à Al Barrahiq, déjeuner à l’ombre de la montagne, puis direction Wadi Um Rdagh pour la nuit, accueillis par le soleil de l’après-midi.
Cette année, Sheikh et Sahab couraient librement aux côtés du groupe, futurs chevaux de trek en pleine formation. Et à chaque pas, nos fidèles chiens Manga et Ellie.
