✨ Future leaders, future sailors! ✨

This week, Chukka St. Thomas USVI welcomed students from the Edith Williams Alternative Academy for their Vocational Career Day. 🚤🌴

The students got a behind-the-scenes look at our boat charter operations and discovered the exciting career paths available in marine tourism. 🌊 From deck to dock, they saw firsthand how adventure on the water can also mean opportunities for the future.

We’re proud to support our local youth and help them explore the possibilities right here in the Caribbean 💙

🚐 Supporting Youth Marine Education in Belize 🌊

We’re honored to have played a small but meaningful role in the Blue Horizon Dive and Snorkeling Summer Program for Youths (July 17–18, 2025) by sponsoring transportation for participants, providing van transfers to and from the water shuttle terminal.

This sponsorship was made possible through the Belize Tourism Board, who reached out to us to support this incredible initiative. The program gave local youths the opportunity to explore our marine ecosystems through snorkeling and diving, fostering appreciation and stewardship of Belize’s beautiful coastal waters.

A heartfelt thank you to the Belize Tourism Board for connecting us with the Blue Horizon Program Coordinators, and to our Chukka Belize team for helping make it happen. 🌴🐠

It was all about fitness, fun, and a shared commitment to protecting Jamaica’s natural beauty.

🌟 Brightening Futures in Belize 🌟

In July, Frank’s Eddy Government School in Belize began a paint drive to transform their campus — many of the buildings were in urgent need of repairs and a fresh coat of paint. The goal was simple yet powerful: to create a brighter, more welcoming learning environment for children, teachers, and parents. 💛🤎

Through our Foundation, we were honored to support this initiative by donating paint in the school’s official colors. Alongside teachers, parents, students, and our amazing Chukka staff volunteers, painting began in early August. Together, we not only added vibrant new colors to the walls — we lifted the spirits of the entire community. ✨

At the Chukka Foundation, we believe investing in education goes beyond books and supplies. It also means creating safe, uplifting spaces where children can dream, grow, and achieve their full potential.

Together, we didn’t just paint walls… we painted a brighter future. 🌿

Proud to support the next generation of storytellers!

The Chukka Foundation, in partnership with the incredible Hunte’s Gardens and the Barbados National Library Service, is thrilled to sponsor The Make a Book Project — a powerful initiative that transforms the creative writings of Barbadian children into beautifully illustrated storybooks.

Through themed inspirations like “The Secret Garden Adventure” and “Garden Guardians,” young minds are encouraged to explore literacy, creativity, and their connection to nature. The winning story will be published as a children’s book, complete with a foreword by Hunte’s Gardens and a spotlight on the young author.

Books will be available across national libraries and as eBooks!

This Labour Day, our Foundation teams rolled up their sleeves to give back to the communities we serve.

From planting trees and beautifying the grounds at St. Ann’s Bay Hospital in partnership with the Forestry Department, to refreshing classrooms with much-needed paintwork at Lethe Primary and Basic School — it was a day of action, unity, and impact.

Empowering through education, scholarships and improving lives and offering our philanthropic support. The Chukka Foundation also promotes responsible and compassionate care towards animal welfare. Over the past ten years, the Foundation has assisted with offering scholarships, improving classrooms, assisting schools, environmental projects and animal welfare. In the past, The Chukka Foundation has assisted the Lucea Infant School, Chester Basic School, Sandy Bay Basic School, The Montego Bay Animal Haven, ICC Beach Clean Up Programs and Breast Cancer Awareness to name a few. The Foundation has also made it a consistent priority to support the community with scholarships for local students.
