BLACK GIANT BUNNY WITH WHITE PAW RUNNING AROUND BEAN BOARDING’S DRIVE IN ST.MARTIN.

This is why we do not recommend house visits unless someone is living in the house.

You can’t tell a guinea pig is sick just by looking.

They are prey animals. They hide illness to avoid being singled out. By the time it’s obvious, it can already be serious.

What actually tells you:

* Eating less or slowing down on hay
* Smaller or fewer droppings
* Changes in urine or smell
* Lower energy or hiding more
* Weight dropping over time

Weight is your early warning system. Most issues show up there before you see them.

* Weigh 2–3 times per week (grams)
* 30 g drop in 24 hours is a red flag
* Ongoing loss needs a vet

Do not wait and see.
“It might be nothing” is how things get missed.

If they stop eating or stop producing droppings, that is urgent.

Save this so you know what to look for.

Follow for practical guinea pig care that actually prevents problems.

Hop Hop Hoppy Christmas from Max and Robin!

This beautiful bonded duo are looking for a forever home. Max is 2 years old and Robin is just under a year old. They will hoppily sit together munching fruit, carrots, cucumber and grass. If they are nervous, they can be a little jumpy. We advise giving them time to adjust to new spaces and people.

Max and Robin are used to children and other animals so they can live with both. If there are other pets in the house such as cats and dogs, the rabbits will need to be supervised and their cage secured.

Our Animal Care team can support you with care advice, such as healthy diet and nutrition, sleeping arrangements and activities they will need to keep busy and happy.

The rabbits are being rehomed as part of our Home to Home scheme. Visit our website to find out more: https://jspca.org.je/animal/max-and-robin/

Bean Boarding would like wish everyone a massive HAPPY CHRISTMAS.

THANK YOU to each and everyone one of you for making my dream come true. Plans have been submitted to the Planning department so fingers crossed 2026 will welcome a brand new holiday home for your small furries.

Remember it’s not just rabbits and Guinea pigs we look after, we also welcome rats, mice, hamsters gerbils, and we even had a fish.

Please see our amazing team enjoying our Christmas party. (Unfortunately the other two were poorly but hope they better before Christmas)
