- STORE – the K9 Wellness Centre specialist store sells a range of high-end animal merchandise, including health and hygiene products, foodstuffs, accessories, toys and more.
- HYDROTHERAPY - Used as a non-weight bearing form of physiotherapy which takes place in a specialist pool. Canine hydrotherapy aids dogs’ recovery from surgery or injury, improves conditions such as arthritis, hip and elbow dysplasia, ligament damage and muscle strain. It can also be used to strengthen muscles and improve fitness levels.
- LAND-BASED PHYSIOTHERAPY - Used as both a weight-bearing and non-weight bearing form of physiotherapy using movement therapies, massage therapies and soft-tissue techniques.
- MASSAGE – a branch of specialist massage therapy that promotes health in dogs. Specifically, canine massage therapy is a form of alternative therapy, the benefits of which may include relaxation, increased oxygenation, pain relief, improved joint flexibility, as well as miscellaneous benefits to the immune system.
- LASER – Often called ‘low-level laser therapy’, ‘cold laser therapy’ or ‘Class IVlaser therapy’, it is still a relatively new concept that is being used more recently to treat dogs with arthritis, tendon or soft tissue injuries and to promote wound healing.
- WEIGHT MANAGEMENT – The key to this goal is to maintain an optimum weight through proper nutrition and exercise. Obesity shortens lifespan, increases the risk of cardio-respiratory disease and joint problems, and will also aggravate pain in a dog with arthritis.
