A meaningful collaboration with .
To imagine a collection of small everyday objects designed for living together.

Today, I’m very happy to share the official presentation of Itsumo Pet Yunoki Ware and the interview published in the Alessi Journal, where I talk about the vision behind the collection.

It was also a great honour that Naoto Fukasawa chose to translate the philosophy into forms, decorations, and poetry with such extraordinary sensitivity and remarkable simplicity.

Itsumo pet Yunoki ware: from table to bowl, a symbol of affection and everyday life, is the extension of the the existing human tableware, created from the desire to design functional, well-crafted objects that make living with pets even more refined and enjoyable.

Developed with the advice of The HAD Human Animal Design® , the series places the concept of relationship at its core, expressed through affiliation - or being part of a family - and affection, understood as genuine interest and care, promoting everyday gestures that strengthen the connection between people and animals.

The intention is not to project human characteristics onto animals, but to reinforce the emotional value that the relationship with them has within the family context transforming mealtimes into a gesture of care, where feeding becomes an expression of attention and belonging.

Itsumo is gesture of care, where feeding becomes an expression of connection, attention, and belonging.

The first edition of the Pet Design District, the district dedicated to the world of pet within the .

A project born with the aim of opening a reflection on the role of design in the relationship between people and animals, and on new design possibilities in shared spaces.

Among The HAD ’s roles the curatorial direction, aimed at identifying companies capable of meeting design, ethical, and cultural criteria consistent with the district's vision.

The Pet Design District represents a first step towards a more conscious and integrated approach to pet-oriented design and a credible and contemporary account of design for multispecies coexistence.

Honored to be featured in Corriere della Sera – Animals section, in the article by Alessandro Sala, dedicated to the Pet Design District during .

The article explores the Pet Design District and the co-curatorial role of The HAD Human Animal Design , highlighting the vision behind the project.

What clearly emerges is an ongoing transformation: a growing awareness among pet owners and a more responsible, inclusive approach from companies, increasingly oriented toward multispecies living and a concrete attention to the real needs of animals within domestic environments.

The event was conceived following the approach: not as a simple product showcase, but as a platform to promote a design culture that integrates aesthetics, function, and animal wellbeing, contributing to redefining the relationship between humans and animals.

Proud to contribute to this conversation as co-curators with The HAD Human Animal Design.

Honored to be featured in special Design insert for the .

In the interview by Cristiana Gattoni , I had the opportunity to share the vision behind the Pet Design District from the criteria that guided the selection of participating brands to the broader cultural direction of the project.

What emerges clearly is a shift:
a growing awareness among pet owners, and a more inclusive, responsible approach from companies increasingly attentive to multispecies living and to the real needs of animals within domestic environments.

The event was conceived precisely with approach in mind: not just showcasing products, but promoting a design culture that balances aesthetics, function, and animal welbeing, while redefining the relationship between humans and their pets.

Proud to contribute to this conversation as co-curators with The HAD Human Animal Design .
