From fearing for my life with this horse to trusting him with it, this is what love, kindness and patience will get you. A partner who looks out for you, who listens, who’s connected. There’s no quick fix for challenging horses, we just need to open our hearts and truly listen to what they are saying. This is what I teach my students every day. Not to be the best rider or the best trainer, but to be the best human for their horses. Everyone can teach horses skills and learn to ride well, but does your horse see you as a friend and really truly look out for you?
