Breeding season is well underway in Bolivia.
In the Gran Mojos region, partners Fundación CLB are back in the field, closely monitoring nests of the Critically Endangered blue-throated macaw and watching for early signs of breeding activity.

This season has started with a welcome surprise. Active nests were found earlier than expected, and eggs are already being recorded across monitored sites.
It’s still early days, but moments like this bring real hope for a species living so close to the edge. The team will continue monitoring closely, and we can’t wait to share more as the season unfolds.
