Yeswecat Cattery

Yeswecat Cattery Small cattery of Siamese&Oriental cats. Proud breeders of 2 World Winners and several other Winners Shows. Thoughtful homes only.

Creators of the RUS4OSH project, we believe in responsible breeding focused on health, temperament and respect for the breed.

YesWeCat is a Siamese and Oriental Shorthair cattery. We select our cats focusing on their health first and their type then in order to have strong and well socialized kittens. All the kittens are neutered at the age of 14 weeks and sold as pet but the ones who will join nice small catteries of friends. We don't ship our cats, we prefer to meet the new families at least once before deciding if our kittens are suitable for them, and that they are suitable for us. So consider visiting us or let us visit you if you are interested in one of our cats.

Let’s talk about pedigree and breeding, without drama (trying!).
Pedigree is not a luxury item, not a fancy add-on, and not something you skip because “the cat looks like the breed”. Pedigree is simply what makes a cat a purebred. Without it, a cat may look like an Oriental or a Siamese, but officially and genetically, it’s not.
Now, honesty moment: pedigree alone does NOT magically turn a breeder into a saint. Sadly, there are breeders with pedigree who still do a bad job. But the pedigree is still the bare minimum. It gives the cat an identity, a traceable origin, and a starting point for real selection.
When people ask for “purebred cats without pedigree”, even with the best intentions, they’re actually feeding a completely unregulated market made of shortcuts and random breeding. And that never ends well for the cats or the breed.
Good breeding happens behind the scenes: health testing, careful selection, limited litters, proper socialization, transparency, and sometimes saying no (even when it would be easier to say yes).
If you truly love a breed, love it enough to respect the process. There are no shortcuts, only better choices. Please make better choices.

We know, we know… we’ve been a bit quiet lately. Life has been moving fast and sometimes real life wins over social media.

The good news is that everyone is doing great. The cats are perfectly fine, enjoying the very serious business of a kitten free life and fully settling into the new house.

Andarna has almost accepted the tragic reality that I still haven’t finished furnishing the house according to her very specific interior design requirements. Rehvy and Snow are deeply in love with all the natural light from every single window and keep asking when I’m finally going to build them a proper, professional catrun. Aimsir is absolutely obsessed with living in a three floor house and firmly believes that running from the first to the third floor at least 17 times a day should be mandatory for everyone. Including me. Which explains why objects keep mysteriously falling everywhere.

Tiger is living her best life. She loves the new house, loves the fully equipped veranda and is obsessed with the running wheel. Yes, she is basically our hamster. Jack, on the other hand, has made his position very clear. He does not care about anything as long as food keeps appearing on time.

We’ve received so many messages asking how we are and we truly appreciate it. We promise we’re all doing well. We’re just enjoying life a bit more quietly, with fewer social intrusions. Officially requested by Jack.

And yes, we will have kittens again. We haven’t stopped. We’re simply taking a well deserved break after many intense years and the stress of the last litters, enjoying some calm before starting again.

Thank you for being here, even when we’re a little less visible

Getting a Retired Breeder from a Cattery Is Not a “Rescue”

When a reputable breeder retires a cat, it’s one of the most misunderstood parts of the cat world. Many people assume that taking home a “retired breeder” is the same as adopting a rescue, but it isn’t. These cats were never unwanted, abandoned, or mistreated. They were planned, loved, and cared for from day one.

A Retired Breeder’s Story Is One of Intentional Care

Breeders keep select cats in their programs to preserve or improve the health, structure, and temperament of the breed. When that cat’s breeding career ends, the decision to retire them is made out of love and responsibility, not neglect.

They’ve been fed premium nutrition, received regular veterinary care, echocardiograms, genetic testing, and socialization from birth. Their transition into a pet home isn’t “rescue,” it’s a graduation from a professional role into family life.

Rescue cats are often pulled from shelters, hoarding cases, or the streets. They may arrive with incomplete medical histories or trauma that requires rehabilitation. Adopting a rescue is a noble act; it saves a life that had nowhere else to go.

A retired breeder is not being “saved.” They are being re-homed under structured, intentional care from someone who has always put their wellbeing first.

Love Is the Common Thread, But Language Matters

Calling a retired breeder placement a “rescue” can unintentionally diminish the work of both ethical breeders and rescue organizations. Each serves a vital but distinct purpose.

A retired breeder isn’t being saved; they’re being celebrated. They’ve spent years helping preserve a breed, and now they get to enjoy the reward: a peaceful, spoiled pet life.

I can hardly believe it. We did it AGAIN!!!

Today my beloved GIC JCH KCH BR*Tairn YesWeCat JW won Best in Show and is now the new World Winner 2025.

My heart is bursting with pride, joy, and emotion. He is my second cat to achieve such a prestigious title with my cattery name, and words cannot express how grateful and happy I am. Watching Tairn shine on that stage is a moment I will never forget, the perfect reward for all the love, dedication, and passion behind this journey.

I am overjoyed to share this incredible moment with Tairn’s wonderful family, Camilla and Anders, and with all the friends and loved ones who cheered for him from near and far. Thank you for being part of this journey and for believing in him. I also send a virtual hug to those who tried to bring him down to make room for their own cat. I truly mean it when I say that I am always happy when a beautiful cat wins such an important title, even when it is yours.
Watching Tairn on that stage filled me with pride. He looked absolutely beautiful, elegant, and perfect in every way.

World, say hi to WW25 GIC JCH KCH BR*Tairn YesWeCat, JW
