I'll be honest, when the idea came up I assumed it would look like one of those filters that turns your photo into a cartoon and fools nobody.
So I sent one photo of Gus. Not a good one. The painting came back in about a minute, and I sat there looking at it longer than I want to admit. Free to see, which is the only reason I was willing to try at all — I paid once I knew.
It's on the living room wall now. My daughter came over, saw it, and cried. Fifteen years of that dog, and somehow a painting is what did it.
