Questa cucciolata è stata pianificata ormai diversi anni fa, quando decisi di tenere una femmina dall’accoppiamento tra Domenico Tichý Stín e Arimminum Zelda, per ricercare, in un secondo momento, un richiamo significativo su Argo Přízrak Karpat.
Glowing Amethyst l’ha presa con estrema calma, ma, alla soglia dei tre anni e mezzo, il calore è finalmente arrivato, insieme all’occasione che aspettavo pazientemente.
Da un punto di vista tecnico, l’accoppiamento è incardinato sulla linea di sangue di Argo Přízrak Karpat, portata da Arimminum Galahad in terza generazione e richiamata nel pedigree da Glowing Amethyst in quarta generazione. Il peso del richiamo è dell’1,68% in termini di COI e del 18,75% come percentuale di sangue dell’antenato.
Nonostante il richiamo, il COI totale rimane su livelli medi grazie alla variabilità dell’antenato stesso, Argo Přízrak Karpat, derivante da un accoppiamento tra linee molto diverse (COI 17,9%) e dalla presenza nel pedigree materno di lignaggi anch’essi forieri di variabilità, come Dona z Oravy e Amor Gabčov dvor.
Nel presentare Caine (Arimminum Galahad) e Amethyst potrei scrivere interi capitoli.
Sono due soggetti estremamente diversi, ma al contempo complementari, con una spiccata inclinazione al lavoro.
Caine è il maschio per eccellenza, una vera roccia: equilibrato, estroverso, sicuro di sé, ma al contempo incredibilmente rispettoso e dolce. È dotato di una tempra che raramente ho avuto modo di apprezzare in altri cani, ancor più tra cecoslovacchi. Vantando una spiccata prosocialità, ha lavorato con me per diversi anni, aiutandomi a recuperare diversi cani fobici o aggressivi. Per dirla in soldoni, è il cane che c’è sempre, indipendentemente dal contesto.
Amethyst, dal canto suo, compensa una tempra media con un temperamento particolarmente elevato. È sempre alla ricerca di qualcosa da fare, mai ferma, leggermente più riflessiva e ponderata di Caine. Anche lei ha partecipato a svariate sessioni di recupero. Nonostante questa sua iperattività, è estremamente affettuosa e ricerca continuamente il contatto fisico e le coccole notturne.
Nei giorni che verranno, piuttosto che concentrarmi sul lavoro che svolgerò con i cuccioli (socializzazione, biosensor ecc.), percorso che a mio avviso ogni allevatore dotato di buon senso, con affisso o amatoriale, dovrebbe implementare, cercherò di presentarvi il contesto in cui i cuccioli nasceranno e cresceranno. Tenterò nel migliore dei modi di presentarvi il gruppo familiare che Lilith, Caine, Amethyst e Moon hanno creato, e del quale io sono estremamente grato di far parte.
I piccoli orsetti sono attesi per la seconda metà di maggio e verranno ceduti esclusivamente a persone che conoscono questa razza, con le luci e le ombre che nasconde, pronte a dedicare tempo ed energie ai piccoli.

This litter was planned several years ago, when I decided to keep a female from the pairing between Domenico Tichý Stín and Arimminum Zelda, with the long-term goal of creating a meaningful linebreeding on Argo.
Glowing Amethyst took her time, but now, at nearly three and a half years old, she has finally come into heat, bringing the opportunity I had been patiently waiting for.
From a technical standpoint, this breeding revolves around the bloodline of Argo Přízrak Karpat, present in the third generation through Arimminum Galahad and again in the fourth generation through Glowing Amethyst. The coefficient of inbreeding (COI) contribution from Argo is 1.68%, with a blood percentage of 18.75%.
Despite the linebreeding, the overall COI remains at an average level thanks to the genetic diversity of Argo Přízrak Karpat himself, the result of a combination between very different lines (COI 17.9%), and the presence of additional diverse bloodlines on the maternal side, such as Dona z Oravy and Amor Gabčov dvor.
When it comes to describing Caine (Arimminum Galahad) and Amethyst, I could write entire chapters.
They are two very different dogs, yet incredibly complementary, both with a strong natural aptitude for work.
Caine is the quintessential male, a true rock. Balanced, outgoing, confident, yet incredibly respectful and sweet. He possesses a kind of grit and resilience that I’ve rarely encountered in other dogs, especially Czechoslovakians. Thanks to his innate prosocial nature, he has worked alongside me for several years, helping to rehabilitate phobic and aggressive dogs. In simple terms, he’s the dog who’s always there, no matter the context.
Amethyst, on the other hand, balances her moderate resilience with a particularly high drive. Always on the go and constantly looking for something to do, she is slightly more reflective and thoughtful than Caine. She too has taken part in numerous rehabilitation sessions. Despite her high energy levels, she is incredibly affectionate and constantly seeks physical contact and nighttime cuddles.
In the coming days, rather than focusing on the work I’ll be doing with the puppies (socialization, biosensor training, etc.), which in my view is something any responsible breeder, whether professional or amateur, should be committed to, I’ll try to introduce you to the environment in which the puppies will be born and raised. I’ll do my best to show you the family group that Lilith, Caine, Amethyst, and Moon have created and of which I’m deeply grateful to be a part.
The little bear cubs are expected in the second half of May and will only be entrusted to people who truly understand this breed, with all its light and shadow, and who are ready to dedicate time and energy to them.
