The Dynamizable Linear External Fixator lets you tailor bone manipulation to the treatment goal: compression, distraction, or dynamization, all with the same device. It ships as a complete set (clamps, threaded pins, autoclavable case) in two sizes to fit different patient sizes. The dynamization feature lets you adjust loading during healing, supporting bone consolidation and reducing the risk of malunion or nonunion. Designed for fast application, including emergency settings.

In conventional TPLO, achieving tibial rotation typically involves placing a pin in the proximal segment early in the procedure — reliable, but it commits the surgeon early and limits adjustments during rotation. X-TPLO takes a different path: rotation is achieved progressively, in a controlled and stable way, without pins in the proximal segment — giving the surgeon room to adjust during the rotation itself. It's not a replacement for standard TPLO. It's an evolution for surgeons who already master the technique and want more control over the rotational step.

The OstiLok system is Ad Maiora's titanium locked-plate system for veterinary orthopedic surgery, available in a standard and OstiLok mini configuration for smaller patients and implants. Locked plate-screw constructs are designed to provide angular stability at the plate-screw interface — a key consideration in comminuted or osteopenic fractures. OstiLok delivers a complete titanium plate and screw assembly engineered to bring locked-plate technology within reach for more veterinary practices, without compromising on material quality.

In veterinary orthopedic surgery, achieving accurate fracture reduction is often the hardest part of the procedure — especially on skeletal segments with heavy muscle coverage or complex, comminuted fractures. Our intraoperative skeletal traction stirrup, paired with the Titan distractor, gives surgeons stable, progressive, and controlled traction:
✅ Progressive and stable tension — constant force even in the most demanding reductions
✅ Soft tissue protection — the adjustable tension mechanism keeps the K-wire securely in place, preventing trauma to surrounding structures
✅ Precision on proximal segments — designed for bones like the humerus and femur, preserving bone integrity even with large muscle masses

🦴 Have a question about our implants or surgical techniques?
We've opened a direct channel for veterinary surgeons, clinics and professionals in the field.
Whether it's a technical question about a plate or screw, a pre-operative evaluation, or simply curiosity about how we design and produce our titanium implants through additive manufacturing — write to us.
Our team replies personally. In English, Italian or Spanish.

Standard TPLO works. But there's a step worth rethinking.

In conventional TPLO, achieving rotation typically involves placing a pin in the proximal tibial segment. It works — but it commits the surgeon early, and adjustments during rotation are limited.

X-TPLO takes a different path: rotation is achieved progressively, in a controlled and stable way, without pins in the proximal segment. The result is a procedure the surgeon can manage with greater consistency, with adjustments possible during the rotation itself.

It's not a replacement for TPLO. It's an evolution for surgeons who already master the standard technique and want more control over the rotational step.

X-TPLO closes our Slovakia workshop on Saturday, May 17 — and tomorrow we're heading out to start it.

We'll be sharing reflections from the workshop in the coming days.

In juvenile hip dysplasia, every month matters.

The biomechanics are simple: if the force containing the femoral head within the acetabulum is insufficient, joint development goes wrong — and the window to intervene closes fast.

RATO (Rovesti Abduction Trochanteric Osteotomy) addresses the problem at its biomechanical root. By lengthening the trochanteric lever arm through controlled, progressive abduction after osteotomy, we increase the containing force on the femoral head — working with the dog's growth, not against it.

Other procedures have approached this concept. RATO introduces original instrumentation and a refined technique that make the procedure consistent and reproducible.

Second day of our Slovakia workshop, Friday May 16, is dedicated entirely to RATO.

Internal or external osteosynthesis? It's the wrong question.

Internal fixation gives you stability — but exposure means biological damage, and small plates risk fatigue failure or demineralization in small dogs.

External fixation preserves biology — but closed reduction demands experience (often fluoroscopy), and refracture after fixator removal is a real concern.

So why treat them as alternatives?

Hybrid Internal/External Fixation (HIEF) uses both: a small plate to stabilize fragments, an external fixator to provide the leverage arm. Each compensates for the other's limits. Minimally invasive access. Immediate loading. Safe fixator removal once callus has formed.

HIEF is the first of three techniques on the table at our Slovakia workshop — Thursday, May 15.
