This is why it's extremely important to spay young female rabbits.
This little one was diagnosed with Hydrometra and multiple masses were seen on ultrasound.
During surgery, both ovaries presented polycystic, left uterine horn with hydrometra and right uterine horn riddled with multiple masses.
Fortunately surgery was successful and she recovered fully and quickly, going back home 24h later.
I love surgery and happy to finally be able to explore and practice this part of but I always prefer prevention... So please consider spaying/neutering asap when getting a new pet rabbit.
