The farm was established in 1953 when Stefán & Marta moved to Víðidalur. Today Pétur (their son) and Aron (their grandson) run the farm. Aron has a degree in Agricultural Science from the Agricultural University of Iceland. As of March 2017 Maiju Varis riding instructor from Hólar University College offers horse training and teaching from our stable. Víðidalur is situated about 3 km from the village of Varmahlíð in Skagafjörður, North West Iceland.
