This is exactly the percept that Sezar Sanctuary
bases itself on. We may be based in Iran, but what we are today is a family scattered across the globe, still closely-knit by intention and emotion. Our motive is the advocacy of innocent animals whom the nature hasn’t bestowed with the strength to fight against the cruelties by humans. If you may say so, we are super animal lovers (and protectors), and we do whatever we can to help the abused and street animals that need care. Together, we’ve surmounted obstacles, taken and won downright challenges, and braved through unmanageable caseloads. And, that has only made the mission stronger. It All Began with a Man who Cares
While Sezar Sanctuary is not limited to the Iranian soil, it surely did begin here with Hosein Mohammadi, a person you come across so rarely, a man who has been more than caring for sick, injured, abused and helpless animals. Beginning with resources that were meager, but a spirit and heart that were big enough to let these poor souls in, this man found it imperative to lend the help that was most needed.
“Exactly after the moment Sezar (my first rescued dog) entered my life, the revelation was clear to me, I had heard my calling in life...I had to become a voice for these voiceless abused animals...This is a calling and responsibility which I took on wholeheartedly and with all that I have, and I hope to be able to continue making a difference in this mission.” – words that come right from Hosein’s heart. The tireless efforts that Hosein Mohammadi had been making to rescue sick and abused animals, attracted a lot of like-minded people across barriers of language, religion and territory, and that is how Sezar Sanctuary became a massive endeavor backed by numerous people who are against cruelty to animals, and those who do care to get up and do something about it. So, hands were joined and efforts were consolidated to make Sezar Sanctuary a massive movement to do it in a greater, more intense measure what Mohammadi has been doing. More supporters, more caregivers, more finances, more resources means more care and more lives saved. The man himself has, singlehandedly, rescued hundreds of dogs already. Sezar Sanctuary strives to multiply this number exponentially year after year with multiplied efforts. What We Believe in
We believe in humanity, and better humans can make a better world for the animals. Or must we say, if we started caring more for animals, we are due to become better humans. However, what we do not believe in are barriers. If you are a person who has the same belief as us – making the world a better place for animals, you are welcome to our family that is growing by leaps and bounds. If you care for the animals, we suggest that you make it count. The Mission and Scope of Sezar Sanctuary
We have already come a long way providing hands-on care and services to abused and abandoned dogs since our inception. We are driving enormous changes in Iran and across the globe in bringing about a change by resisting crimes against animals, especially large-scale cruelties such as puppy mills, animal fighting and dog cruelty. We also act as the backbone to animal rescue groups spread all across Iran. When faced with outrageous situations, Sezar Sanctuary does all it can (as the law of the land permits) to fight neglect and abuse directed against animals. And we wish to do thing on a global level. A part of our mission is also to urge more of you who think like us to join us in this battle to empower animals.
