سرپرستش مهاجرت کرد، و در زمان جنگ با جفتش در یک باغ رها شده بود. به لطف همسایه ها لقمه ای غذا به آنها داده میشد تا اینکه سگ نر فوت میکنه. این سرگذشت ژولیت، این گریت دن باشکوه است که با گزارش همسایه ها توسط وفا امداد شد.
به گفته دکتر سعید عفونت چشم و بینی داشته و فعلا در حال درمان هست. البته وضعیت جسمیش از زمان آمدن به پناهگاه خیلی بهتر شده، اما معلوم
نیست چگونه میشود آسیب روحی او را درمان کرد؟

Her guardian immigrated abroad, and during the war, she and her mate were abandoned in a garden. Thanks to the neighbors, they were given a little food from time to time until the male dog passed away. This is the story of Juliet, this magnificent Great Dane, who was rescued by Vafa after neighbors reported her situation.
According to Dr. Saeed, she had eye and nasal infections and is currently receiving treatment. Although her physical condition has improved greatly since arriving at the shelter, it is hard to know how the emotional trauma she has endured can ever be healed.

چند روز پیش یک مراجعه کننده داشتیم که تقاضای درمان سگش رو داشت. میگفت که برای کسی کار کرده و به جای مزد به او این سگ رو داده و او هم از نگهداری سگ اطلاعی نداره. آورده بود پناهگاه که معاینه بشه.
دکتر سعید گفت که گوش های سگ قارچ داره و تنفسش هم درگیر هست. بعد از درمان های اولیه، دکتر به جوان قول داد همیشه میتونه روی کمک های دارویی و درمانی پناهگاه حساب کنه. قرار شد بعدا برای عقیم کردن سگ هم مراجعه کنه.

A few days ago, we had a visitor who asked for treatment for his dog. He said he had worked for someone who gave him the dog instead of paying him, and that he himself had no experience caring for dogs. He brought the dog to the shelter for examination.
Dr. Saeed said the dog had a fungal infection in his ears and was also suffering from respiratory problems. After the initial treatment, the doctor assured the young man that he could always count on the shelter’s support for medications and veterinary care. They also agreed that he would return later to have the dog neutered.

زرافه پسریه که از بچگی به پناهگاه آمده، شاید هفت، هشت سال پیش. مدتی بود که دستش رو بالا میگرفت با بررسی متوجه شدیم که مشکلات استخوانی و چسبندگی داره که باید جراحی بشه. در این مدت جنگ تونستیم بفرستیم برای جراحی و عمل او با موفقیت انجام شد و الان هم حالش خوبه.
راستی چه کسی اسمش رو زرافه گذاشته؟ بسیاری از داوطلب ها هنوز به اینترنت وصل نیستند، بعدا به ما خبر میدن موضوع چی بوده.

“Zarrafeh” (meaning “Giraffe” in Farsi) came to the shelter as a puppy, maybe seven or eight years ago. For some time, he had been holding one of his front legs up. After examination, we realized he had bone problems and adhesions that required surgery. During the war, we were finally able to send him for surgery, and thankfully, the operation was successful. He is doing well now.
By the way, who was the one who named him “Zarrafeh”? Many of the volunteers still don’t have internet access, so they’ll let us know the story behind his name later.

این ویدیو در تاریخ 4 اردیبهشت 1405 از پناهگاه وفا در قزوین ضبط شده. با شرایطی که اینترنت در ایران قطره چکانی برقرار است آن هم با صرف هزینه زیاد برای وی پی ان، ما امکان گرفتن ویدیوهای بیشتری را نداریم ولی تلاش میکنیم حداقل هفته ای یک بار شما را در جریان هر دو پناهگاه قرار دهیم.فقط مجبوریم که بیاییم تا به شما بگوییم ما را فراموش نکنید.

This video was recorded on April 24, 2026, at Vafa Animal Shelter in Qazvin. With internet access in Iran available only sporadically—and only through expensive VPN connections—we are unable to record and upload more videos. Still, we will do our best to keep you updated about both shelters at least once a week.

پنجشنبه سوم اردیبهشت 1405 فرزاد شعبانپور، مدیر دو پناهگاه وفا در هشتگرد و قزوین خطاب به دوستداران حیوانات و حامیان وفا از وضعیت فعلی پناهگاه ها میگوید.
این دو ماه اخیر پناهگاه روزهای سختی را گذرانده، در کنار گرانی مایحتاج پناهگاه و سختی تهیه کردن آنها، متاسفانه حمایت های مالی هم خیلی کم شده و همین مشکلاتمان را بیشتر کرده. قبلا میتوانستیم وعده پرداخت را مدتی به تعویق بیندازیم ولی الان دیگر کسی نمی پذیرد قسطی بفروشد، چون شرایط روز به روز تغییر میکند.
خواهش میکنیم حواستون به پناهگاه و هزار و ششصد سگی که در این دو پناهگاه تحت پوشش ما هستند، باشد. ما جز مردم کسی را نداریم.

Over the past two months, the shelters have been facing extremely difficult conditions. Alongside the rising cost of essential supplies and the ongoing challenges of securing them, donations have unfortunately declined significantly, making an already difficult situation even more severe.
Please keep the shelters and the 1,600 dogs in our care in mind. We have no one but you.

هفتم آذر 1403 یک زوج هاسکی نابینا امداد شدند. هاسکی ماده، حامله بود با گردنی کج هر دو در کلینیک دامپزشکی رها شده بودند. ماده را آبنوس و نر را ارس نام گذاشتیم.
پیمانه با سگ های نابینا خیلی رابطه خوبی داره و همیشه با این دو بازی میکرد. متاسفانه 16 دی ماه سال گذشته آبنوس را به دلیل مشکلات نخاعی و داخلی از دست دادیم. اینترنت قطع بود و نتوانستیم همان موقع از او و مظلومیتش یاد کنیم.

On November 27, 2024, a blind Husky couple was rescued. The female Husky was pregnant and had a tilted neck; both had been abandoned at a veterinary clinic. We named the female Abnoos and the male Aras.
Peymaneh has a very special bond with blind dogs and was always playing with these two. Sadly, on January 6, 2026, we lost Abnoos due to spinal and internal complications. At the time, the internet was down, and we couldn’t share her story or honor her quiet suffering.

بعد از بیش از چهل روز توانستیم امروز 25 فروردین 1405 به سختی به اینترنت کم سرعت و ناپایدار وصل شویم و از پناهگاه به صورت زنده ویدیو تهیه کنیم تا شما از حال و روز سگ ها خبردار شوید. در تمام این مدت ما در تلاش تهیه غذا، آب،گاز و دارو برای پناهگاه بودیم و مثل همیشه از شما حامیان عزیزمون سپاسگزاریم که ما را تنها نگذاشتید. امیدواریم بتونیم دوباره به زودی به صورت زنده از پناهگاه گزارش داشته باشیم.

Today, April 14, 2026, after more than forty days, we were finally able—with great difficulty—to connect to a slow and unstable internet service and stream a live video from the shelter so you can see how the dogs are doing.
Throughout this entire time, we have been working hard to provide food, water, gas, and medicine for the shelter, and as always, we are deeply grateful to our dear supporters for not leaving us alone. We hope to be able to share another live report from the shelter again soon.

جمعه ۱۳ تیر۱۴۰۴ بود که آقایی یک تریر کوچک رو از منطقه هیو آورد پناهگاه. گفت مدتیه اون دور و برها میچرخه و او بهش غذا میده. اما اخیرا سگ های بزرگ بهش گیر دادن و حالا دیگه براش خطرناکه. صندوق ماشین رو باز کرد و دیدیم این کوچولو اون ته نشسته. اونموقع موهاش بلند نبود ولی بدنش غرق کنه‌ بود که روی پشم ها و تو صندوق ماشین داشتن راه میرفتن.
همان روز یکی از بازدیدکننده ها در پناهگاه گفت اونو قبول میکنه. قرار شد ما تمیزو مرتبش بکنیم تا آماده واگذاری بشه.
موهاش رو کوتاه کردیم و دیدیم چقدر لاغر و نحیف و ضعیفه. موقع درمان کنه‌ها خیلی بدحال شد. مدتی تو درمانگاه بود تا حالش جا اومد. لازم بود تقویت بشه. خلاصه چند هفته گذشت، در نهایت عقیم شد و آماده برای رفتن که اون آقا گفت قراره توی حیاط نگهش داره. ما با این شرایط موافق نبودیم و این شد که دیگه ماندگار شد.
اسمش رو کینو گذاشتیم اسم کوهی در خوزستان. کینو نر هست، یک سال و نیمه و یک بچه شاد و پر انرژیه. شاید جزو تنها بچه هایی باشه که با خودش به قشنگی بازی میکنه.

It was Friday, July 4, 2025, when a man brought a small terrier from the Hiv area to the shelter. He said the little dog had been wandering there for some time and that he had been feeding him. But recently, larger dogs had started attacking him, making it unsafe for him to stay.
When he opened the trunk of his car, we saw this tiny pup sitting quietly in the back. His hair wasn’t long at the time, but his body was covered in ticks—they were crawling through his fur and even inside the trunk.
We shaved his fur and realized how thin, frail, and weak he really was. During the tick treatment, he became very ill and had to stay in the clinic for a while until he stabilized. He needed time and care to regain his strength.
Kino was later neutered and prepared for adoption, but we couldn’t find a suitable guardian. He stayed with us and became a permanent member of the shelter family.
We named him Kino, after a mountain in Khuzestan.
Kino is a 1.5-year-old male, a joyful and energetic boy who can happily entertain himself.
