🐾A Brave Mama & Her Eight Little Miracles
A 3-year-old Rottweiler mama came to us after trying for hours to deliver her puppies but couldn’t. It had been more than 65 days since her pregnancy began.
We quickly performed an emergency C-section and welcomed 8 beautiful, healthy pups into the world! 💖🐶
Mama is now recovering well, and we’ve guided her parents on care and medications. Follow-up in 7 days to make sure both mom and babies stay strong. 🐾✨

A Maltese was presented to the clinic with a history of bloody diarrhea, tick infestation, foul-smelling breath, and itchy skin lesions suggestive of atopic dermatitis.

History:
The dog had been kept in a boarding facility for 2 days prior to the onset of clinical signs. No vomiting or fever was noted at the time of presentation.

Clinical Findings:
• Temperature: Normal
• Gastrointestinal: Bloody diarrhea observed
• Integumentary: Presence of multiple ticks and pruritic skin lesions; consistent with atopic dermatitis likely aggravated by ectoparasites.
• Oral Health: Moderate to severe dental plaque with halitosis (bad breath).

Plan:
• Symptomatic treatment and monitoring of GI signs
• Initiate tick control measures
• Skin scrapings and allergy workup if necessary
• Dental cleaning scheduled following stabilization

KENNEL COUGH (also called canine infectious tracheobronchitis) is a highly contagious respiratory disease in dogs. It’s similar to a chest cold or mild bronchitis in humans and is often spread in places where dogs are in close contact — like boarding kennels, shelters, dog parks, or grooming centers.

🦠 Causes:

Kennel cough is usually caused by a combination of pathogens, including:
• Bordetella bronchiseptica (bacteria)
• Canine parainfluenza virus
• Canine adenovirus type 2
• Other viruses or bacteria may also be involved.

🐶 Symptoms:
• Persistent, dry, hacking cough (sounds like honking)
• Retching or gagging
• Mild fever (can go higher in severe cases)
• Sneezing or nasal discharge
• Mild lethargy
• Decreased appetite (sometimes)

🛡️ Prevention:
• Bordetella vaccine (intranasal)

🚨 When to See a Vet Urgently:
• High fever (>104.5°F or 40.3°C)
• Loss of appetite
• Lethargy
• Cough lasting >2 weeks or worsening
• Breathing difficulty

Rocky, a 6yr old male Labrador walked into the clinic with a subconjunctival hemorrhage, T: 104.6F, tachypnea, petechial hemorrhages, swelling and pain on palpation are observed at the pe**le region. Blood report clearly shows anemia, thrombocytopenia. The dog was very weak and lethargic. This is a classic case of "Tick fever". Dont neglect ticks on your pets or it will cost your pets life...
