A dog named Bhuri was found with a manjha (kite string) tightly wrapped around her leg.
The string had cut deep into her flesh, causing severe injury, swelling, and intense pain.

Seeing her condition, Babal ji immediately contacted Varanasi for Animals (VFA) for help.
The VFA team reached her in time and provided urgent medical care. Her wound was carefully cleaned, medicines were given, and she received the treatment she desperately needed.

Today, Bhuri is completely healthy and active again.
She is now safe, pain-free, and happily living with her friend Babal.

Her condition was critical, and she was in severe pain.

Ajay, a volunteer from Varanasi For Animals (VFA), rescued Rani and immediately brought her to the VFA shelter.

A brave mother dog named Candy was once injured by a porcupine quill stuck in her neck, leaving her in terrible pain. Every breath hurt, yet she trusted humans enough to let us help her. With extreme care and love, the quill was gently removed, and she was given proper medical treatment and warm aftercare.
Today, Candy is safe, healed, and living without pain — a true little miracle. 🐶✨

Candy is a mother dog and lives on the BHU campus, where her daily needs are lovingly taken care of by Sakshi, a kind soul with a beautiful heart.

We are truly grateful to Help Animals India for supporting Varanasi For Animals (VFA) in rescuing and caring for Candy. Your help gave her a second chance at life, free from suffering. ❤️

We will soon get Candy sterilized so she can stay healthy and protected in the future.
And when her puppies grow up, we will try our best to find them loving homes, where they will be cherished just like Candy deserves.

Candy’s story reminds us that every life matters, and with a little love, care, and compassion, even the deepest wounds can heal. 🐾

Chintu’s Story 🐶✨

Chintu, a small and innocent puppy, was badly attacked by an adult dog. He was scared, in pain, and his face and neck were swollen. The trauma left him silent and broken.

But kindness arrived.
A compassionate woman, Nikhat, who cared for Chintu and his family, contacted VFA. The team reached immediately and rescued Chintu.

With timely treatment, gentle care, and lots of love, Chintu slowly started healing. He even made two new furry friends who helped him come out of his trauma.

Today, Chintu is completely healthy and happily back with his family ❤️

This rescue was possible because of dedication, compassion, and support from Help Animals India, who stand strong for voiceless animals every day.

Parro is a mother dog who suffered from a deep, painful wound on her neck that had become infected with maggots. She was in severe pain, and without timely treatment, she might not have survived.

Vikash, a VFA volunteer, noticed her condition and immediately informed the team. The VFA team treated Parro on the spot and also made a small shelter for her and her puppies so they could stay safe and warm. Along with treatment, Parro was fed every day with care and love.

Today, after days of dedication and hard work, Parro has fully recovered. She is safe, healthy, and finally at peace. She will be sterilized soon, and her puppies are ready for adoption if anyone wishes to give them a loving home.

Heartfelt thanks to Help Animals India for their support. Parro’s recovery is a beautiful reminder that compassion can truly save lives 🐾❤️

Chotu is a street dog whose world once revolved around pain and fear.
His jaw was badly injured and filled with maggots. The unbearable pain left him restless. Desperate for relief, Chotu kept running from one house to another, searching for a place to hide. But instead of help, he was chased away everywhere—judged by the smell of his wounds, not the suffering he carried.

When VFA team member Ritika noticed Chotu, she immediately knew he needed urgent help. Without wasting a moment, a rescue vehicle was arranged, and Chotu was taken to the Varanasi For Animals shelter. Scared and in pain, he tried to run, but the team did not give up. With patience and compassion, Chotu was finally safe.

At the VFA shelter, the reality of his condition became clear. A large number of maggots were carefully removed from his injured jaw. Eating was extremely difficult because some of his teeth were broken, and he was in severe pain. Yet, with proper medical treatment, medicines, and constant care, Chotu slowly began to trust humans again.

Day by day, Chotu grew stronger.
He learned to eat again.
His pain reduced.
His wounds healed.

Today, Chotu is healthy, active, and safe under the care of Varanasi For Animals. He has been sterilized and vaccinated against rabies, ensuring a safer and more peaceful life ahead.

This rescue and recovery were possible with the support of Help Animals India, whose backing allows shelters like VFA to respond when an animal is suffering and has nowhere else to go. Their support transforms compassion into lifesaving action.

If Chotu’s journey touched your heart, please consider supporting this work.
Your donation can help rescue, treat, and protect many more lives like Chotu’s.

Because of love, Chotu survived.
Because of care, Chotu lives.
Because of support, hope continues. 🐾❤️
