The two calves of the hit and run, on the highway, one is able to now stand, the other, too many fractures, yet to heal. Perhaps one day, be able to stand.
Dr.Mahesh, writing a prescription and although looks quite exhausted, still has a big beaming smile,whist he looks up. A smile that lights up his face and his eyes twinkle. Kudos to the Vets at the Arunachala Animal Sanctuary and Rescue Shelter . Dr. Raja , Dr. Pavitra( a new recruit) and the stalwart Supervisor Raja. The whole team, relentless in their endeavors.

This morning, as usual the outpatients were teeming with their owners. A viral fever, resulting in vomiting and unable to keep food down. Dehydration sets in.
The Drips begin. Alongwith medication required. Some of the owners have taken the day off from work. They love their dogs very much.
Free treatment and care at the Arunachala Animal Sanctuary and Rescue Shelter. Thiruvanamalai.

A family and their pups. A litter of 6. 2 passed away. These 4 have the Paro virus and are receiving their drips. The brown ones have a slim chance, the two black ones, are much stronger. The family is quite devastated.
Then comes the Rooster. He has two very ugly abseses on his neck. Surgery most likely.
The White horse, was brought by its owner due to digestive ànd other internal ailments.
Finally, the Calf of a hit and run on the highway. Left to die. Fortunately brought to the Arunachala Animal Sanctuary and Rescue Shelter, she cannot stand, due to multiple fractures and other internal injuries.
All taken care of, for FREE.
Fed, housed and medical. Its all part of a day and more.

The Three dogs, lie down to have their meal, as they are badly injured and cannot stand. At the Arunachala Animal Sanctuary and Rescue Shelter, they are very much a part of the family and will live their lives with us.
The Puppies need homes. Loving, caring and compassionate families.
