When a dog behaves slightly different from his usual self, pay attention. That change is information.

Pittu isn’t big on cuddles, but after 3 to 4 months of knowing him, I never expected a bite. What shook me was the absence of warning. No visible body language shift, no growl.
Within seconds, holding my hand turned into a full attack.

We’ll work through it. And yes, even experienced trainers can misread moments.

Cow hocks in German Shepherds, fault or functional?

Back in school, stars and compliments motivated us to do better. Over time, we didn’t depend on them, they simply shaped our habits. Treats work the same way for dogs. They are not bribes, they are motivation. Eventually, good behaviour becomes understanding, trust, and routine, not the treat itself.
