Three Little Souls in Search of Love ✨
In the quiet corners of Delhi–NCR, three 50-day-old Indie kittens: Maggie, Luna and Tom, await homes where tenderness is second nature and affection knows no bounds.
🌼 Maggie — Born to a street mother, she carries the gentleness of survival and the sweetness of trust. Playful yet serene, she will follow your footsteps and fill your home with quiet joy.
🌙 Luna — A little dreamer with soulful brown eyes, shy at first glance, but quick to surrender her heart when met with kindness. Her purrs are the music of gratitude itself.
🧡 Tom — A golden-hued boy with an appetite for both food and affection. Cheerful, curious, and endlessly endearing, he finds happiness in the simplest of gestures
Each of them is tender, lively, and brimming with innocence, yearning not merely for shelter, but for belonging.
📍 Location: Delhi NCR

Every year, after the full moon night of November, countless goats and even buffaloes are slaughtered at the Bolla Kali Temple in West Bengal. The sound of drums tries to drown the cries of terrified animals, but nothing can hide the cruelty behind this so-called “sacrifice.”
Let’s be clear, sacrifice means giving something of your own, not taking another’s life.
Since 2023, a case has been ongoing in the Calcutta High Court, which has clearly stated that mass animal sacrifices must not be conducted or encouraged publicly. If any sacrifice is to be performed, it must be done only in a government-recognised slaughterhouse, following all legal procedures. The Court has also directed that strict penal action be taken against anyone violating these orders.
Despite this, misleading claims continue that there are “no restrictions” or that these practices are lawful, even though no valid recognition papers have been produced before the Court.
This year, before such cruelty takes place again, citizens and animal welfare groups must act responsibly, by informing the District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, and temple committee about the High Court’s order, and urging them to ensure proper monitoring and preventive measures so that no violations occur.
This is not sacrifice, it is suffering.
True sacrifice is compassion, not cruelty.

In Thoothukudi, two companion dogs were subjected to horrific cruelty by a 22-year-old man who mercilessly attacked them with stones and cement blocks. One dog died on the spot due to excessive bleeding, while the other was left grievously injured.
People for Animals Tuticorin / Thoothukudi was informed of the incident and immediately intervened. PFA volunteers reached the location, rescued the injured dog, and transported her to a veterinary hospital in Thalamuthunagar for treatment. A police complaint was promptly filed by PFA Thoothukudi President, Mr. G. Saravana Selvi, following which the accused was arrested.
This incident is a stark reminder of why animal cruelty must be taken seriously, and why timely reporting and intervention can make the difference between life and death.
Video footage and regional news coverage are available in the last slide.

Our heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Transport Minister of Sikkim, and Shri Prabhakar Rai, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Transport Department, Government of Sikkim, for issuing an official directive mandating the display of the “Be Kind To Animals” slogan on all public transport vehicles across the state.
This progressive step ensures that a message of compassion and responsibility reaches thousands of commuters every single day. It stands as a powerful reminder that kindness towards animals is not just an emotion, it is a constitutional duty and a reflection of a truly civilised society.
With this initiative, Sikkim joins the growing movement of states placing empathy at the forefront of governance.
We extend our sincere thanks to every officer and department involved in making this compassionate order a reality. May this inspire more states to follow suit.

A university that protects all its residents, human and non-human, is a university of the future.
JNU establishing a statutory Animal Welfare Society, complete with designated feeding zones, first-aid response teams, and restoration of natural water sources, is an excellent administrative reform.
From managing co-existence to researching animal law, ecology and sustainable living, this model deserves to be replicated across Indian campuses. Because true education must teach compassion beyond the classroom.
