Jancy is back to life …

9 year old Jancy was presented at the clinic with the problems of reduced food intake and a discharge from va**na. Ultrasound scanning and blood counts revealed that she was suffering from Pyometra; a disease in which pus accumulates inside the uterus.

After stabilising her with antibiotics and fluids, we decided to go for a pan hysterectomy in which the uterus and ovaries were to be removed; Though age was a risk factor her parent Akash was confident in us to go ahead.

12 days back we performed the surgery and follow up treatments were given. And today she came for her suture removal and she is perfectly alright now.

Dear Pet parents, if you do not wish to breed your female dogs, please spay them. Pyometra can often be fatal and animals who havenot conceived are at a higher risk when compared to others.
