PFA, Mysore is organising a week-long FREE Anti Rabies Vaccine drive at the shelter from Sep 28th- Oct 4th 2020 where we’ll be vaccinating all animals for free of cost.

Today is World Rabies Day.
The theme for this year is ‘End Rabies: Collaborate, Vaccinate’. India constitutes 36% of the rabies deaths in the entire world. This is a major health problem that needs more attention. There is no effective cure once the symptoms of rabies sets in humans. It is 100% fatal once the symptoms occur. 99% of the rabies cases occur from domestic dogs.
People For Animals Mysore is organising a week long FREE Anti Rabies Vaccine drive at our clinic where we’ll be vaccinating all animals for free of cost.
Do get your pets that are due for vaccinations and get a free checkup! We will be running a week long campaign educating people about Rabies and its prevention. Keep looking at this space!

Timeline of Events from the 'Stray Dogs Poisoning Case'

PFA Mysore has no words to describe the ghastly incident that has occurred. We are currently awaiting the toxicology reports obtained from the post-mortem of the dog. We’ll be presenting that as evidence once we get it.
We would advise all our followers to keep an eye on people who are feeding animals out of the blue in their area. Also look out for signs of poisoning such as lethargy, froth in mouth, unresponsiveness, seizures, vomiting, nosebleeds, diarrhea, and/or loss of appetite.
Please contact PFA Mysore at 0821-2598213 (10AM-5PM) in case you find any animal in distress. We will send our ambulance to pick the animal.
We would like to thank all the volunteers from the Feeding Group who helped to circulate the message. We would also like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the media personnel for bringing the attention of the higher-ups to this issue.
