Today would have been your 16th birthday, and it’s your Gotcha Day — the day you came into our lives and made our home complete. You were about four when we found each other, and from that moment on, you ruled our hearts — and our house — with gentle elegance.

Frida, you were the gentlest soul I’ve ever known. A striking calico with mesmerizing green eyes and the softest fur, you walked into every room like you belonged there — because you did. Everyone noticed you, not just because of your beauty, but because of the warmth you carried with you. You always stopped to say hello, offered your sweet little meow or a chirp, and then went about your day like the queen you were.

You loved sleeping curled over our heads, or nestled right between our pillows, like you were always meant to be there. Your purrs were comforting, your presence grounding, and your love — quiet but unwavering — filled every corner of our lives.

Even in your final year, through illness and pain, you remained brave and loving. We miss you every single day. But today, on your Gotcha Day, we celebrate the gift of you — your spirit, your grace, your companionship.
