In Defense of Animals (India) IDA India is a non-governmental organization, working for animal welfare. We treat more than 1000 animals per month.

IDA INDIA is a non-profit grass root level animal protection organisation, dedicated towards establishing and defending the rights of all non - human living creatures. The organization was founded in Mumbai, India was born on 31st October 1996. Immediately the project of neutering of street dogs was taken up. A small beginning was made in March 1997 in two garages of a residential colony in a subu

rb of Mumbai. For three years IDA INDIA worked in small make shift camps. With the intervention of the Mumbai High Court, the Corporation handed over the premises at Deonar to IDA INDIA on 22nd December 1999.

Taking care of those who care for so many animals and show up, rain or shine. 💛

Thanks 🙏 to the kind support of Rotary Club of Thane West and Siddhivinayak Hospital, Thane, we organized a free medical camp for our staff of 54 at IDA India, the hands and hearts behind our shelter’s daily work.

BP, blood reports, X-rays, ECGs, eye tests - all were covered.

Heartfelt thanks for helping us care for our frontline family! 🙌🐾
