| https://www.mahamtb.com//Encyc/2020/4/21/Animal-rescue-from-Corona-suspects-homes-in-Mira-Road.html

----------

I want to tell you something about the disease called Covid 19. Covid 19 does not spread through pet animals. This disease spreads from human to human. So do not abandon your pet animals by believing in any rumours.

This lockdown has given you a good opportunity to spend some valuable time with your family and with your pets. So what you need to follow is a healthy diet and also feed your pets with a healthy diet so their immunity increases as well as the bonding and love between you and your pet will become more strong.

Social distancing, what you mean by social distancing is whenever you are going out please try to avoid the crowd and stay away from meeting people. So the more time you spend at home the distance between you and your pet will be reduced and the bonding of love will be more strong.

As you all are aware that we have a lot of stray animals around but due to this lockdown they are starving, so our volunteers are busy in feeding them. If you have any such stray animals around you or your society you too can help by feeding them.

When you take your pets outside for a walk, please wash their feets once you get them back home the same way like you wash your hands after coming from outside. This way we can help to fight this disease called Covid 19.

Dr. Manish Pingle

----------

As we all know the current situation of corona virus all over the world and in India. So as a veterinarian I would to tell few points about the pet animals and the animals on the street.

As in this current situation, many of the pet owners are concerned whether there pets would get infected with corona virus or not. So I would like to request all the pet owners that don't believe on rumours which is circulating nowadays on the internet. You don't need to worry about this because in India we haven't report any of such single cases yet. So please don't be afraid. You can live with your pets without any hesitation.

Secondly, I would like to request the people in our society that if possible by them to feed the street animals then please do that. You don't need to prepare any special food for them. Whichever food you have at your home, you can feed them and you can help them in this current lockdown situation.

This is a message I want to give to all the people. Please take care of your self. Be safe, be healthy.

Dr. Rahul Meshram

MUMBAI : The caged parrot which had been left behind in a sealed Bhandup based house, after its occupant was found to be corona virus positive, has finally been rescued by animal activists with the help of forest, police and municipal officials. Animal rights activists had earlier on Saturday urged the police, municipal and forest authorities to immediately remove a caged parrot which had not eaten for over three days. "We are happy that the bird is now rescued and kept at an animal hospital. I had received information from Harish Dwivedi that a live parrot inside a cage is somehow left behind in a sealed house in Khindipada in Bhandup (west). The bird had not got any food for the past three days, and hence it was rather urgent to rescue the parrot," said activist Sunish Subramanian of Plant and Animals Welfare Society (PAWS-Mumbai).

Along with the Amma Care Foundation, PAWS-Mumbai wrote to the Brihanmumbai Municial Corporation, Bhandup police and the range forest officials about this urgency.

The senior police inspector of Bhandup, Sham Shinde, told TOI on Saturday: "The residents of the house should have removed the bird at the time the house was being sealed. Anyhow, the police will cooperate with BMC to remove the parrot."

The deputy conservator of forest (Thane territorial) Jitendra Ramgaonkar, tweeted later in the day: "The parakeet has been rescued by forest officials, police department and volunteers of PAWS-Mumbai. Every life is important. Special thanks to BMC.''

Meanwhile, Subramanian added: "I had got in touch with the BMC officials from S ward in order to rescue the bird earlier in the day. Many local residents had expressed concern for the parrot inside the sealed house, as it used to loudly cry out for food and water. Thankfully, it is a happy ending for this parakeet."

MUMBAI: The caged parrot which had been left behind in a sealed Bhandup based house, after its occupant was found to be coronavirus positive, has fina.
