Slippery elm is a magical herb for dogs prone to gastrointestinal issues. It helps in reducing inflammation and the oily mucilage components lubricate the digestive tract and assist in waste elimination.

Slippery elm even coats the lining of other inflamed mucous membranes such as the respiratory tract, making it a great herb for dogs suffering from bronchitis or kennel cough.

The lubricating qualities of Slippery Elm make it a perfect candidate for dogs suffering from both- diarrhoea and constipation.

It can also be helpful in reducing the intestinal tract inflammation that often accompanies ulcers, colitis and gastritis in dogs.

The herb is also highly nutritive, being a source of fiber, bioflavonoids, calcium, magnesium, sodium, vitamins A, E, C, K, and B-complex.

On top of that, slippery elm is also a prebiotic and helps promote balanced flora in the gut.

Slippery elm is safe for puppies, adults, and senior dogs.

CUCUMBER INFUSED WATER

Yes, even I am aware of how fru fru and silly that sounds. However, this simple hack can provide your dog with many benefits!

Cucumbers are cooling and provide dogs with a little bit of everything, such as vitamin K, molybdenum, biotin, copper and potassium.

Their high water content and cooling nature makes it great for hydration, skin issues, inflammation and even kidney and liver health.

Cucumbers are also known to contain silica, a mineral that helps with strengthening the joints and connective tissues of a dog.

If your dog doesn't like eating cucumber in it's whole form, infused water is a great way to give them some of these awesome benefits.

METHOD

Add 2 slices of seedless and skinless cucumber to 2 glasses of purified water

That's it! Let it chill for a few hours before serving. You can either serve the infused water on it's own or add some to your dog's water bowl.

If your dog will eat it in it's whole form, seedless and skinless cucumber is the way to go. Remember to always give cucumber or infused water in moderation!

MEET OUR IADL BABIES

Rumi isn't your typical Beagle. Like a typical Beagle, he has a mind of his own and always does as he pleases. However, and it's a big however, unlike most of his Beagle brethren he is extremely obedient and follows his mama everywhere she goes.

He spends his days like most spoilt, loved and pampered dogs - cuddling with his humans, indulging in some play time, looking cute, snoozing and constantly demanding food. Quite a packed schedule!

There's nothing he enjoys more than lying down with his limbs in the air in complete relaxation. Typical Rumi..... just contemplating life and other things!

As you can see, Rumi is a very very good boy.

Our dogs rely on us for everything. We are in charge of making sure they receive the best nutrition, all day access to clean water, an appropriate amount of exercise, enough playtime, a comfortable bed and a barrage of love, compliments and kisses.

However, our biggest responsibility is making well informed and thoroughly researched decisions when it comes to their well-being. It is but natural to trust the advice of any pet care professional as they are, well, professionals. However, you must always keep in mind that no one knows your dog better than you.

As your dog depends on you entirely, it is important for you to question standard protocols when it comes to your dog's health and happiness. What works for one dog does not necessarily work for another.

Don't hesitate to seek out a second opinion. Ask for advice from experienced friends who have dealt with a similiar issue Undertake thorough research before giving any prescribed medication. Even read numerous reviews before purchasing a product online. Be informed and be thorough. Always.

You should always try to learn as much as you can about your dog's tick and flea protocol, grooming techniques, medication and diet. Rely on professionals for their advice, but always do your research to check for safety and efficacy. Don't be afraid to get a second opinion if you are uncomfortable with something. Remember, your dog depends entirely on you for his or her well-being.

CLIENT DIARIES

Meet our gorgeous Trixie. Super effervescent, adorable and hilarious, Trixie is truly one of a kind. She's the sweetheart of the house and fussed on like no other. Trixie has been a part of the IADL pack since she was a puppy and her mama shares her experience of working with us.

"We consulted Aanchal when Trixie was just 6 months old and started her on her customised diet plan. She made the transition from kibble to a meat based diet very easy for us and we noticed visible differences in the first few weeks itself. Her coat became healthy and shiny, there was less shedding, lesser eye bo**er build-up and most importantly, Trixie enjoyed everything she ate.

Aanchal is always available whenever I have an issue regarding the diet or any other questions that a dogmom would have. Not only has she helped us with the diet but has also advised us on what additional things can be done to create a happy and wonderful life for Trixie. We are grateful to her for making our journey with our furbaby a great one. "

There's nothing better than having parents who are willing to go above and beyond for their furry babies. Follow .trixie to keep up with her many adventures 😍

AGNI (DIGESTIVE FIRE)

According to Ayurveda systems, our health and well being depend upon our ability to digest everything we take in from our external environment. This isn't just limited to what we eat or drink but also our experiences, emotions and physical interactions. This extends to what we take in through our eyes (images), ears (sounds), nose (smell), tongue (taste) and skin (touch).

Agni which is also known as "digestive fire" is what breaks down all that we ingest and allows us to assimilate what is useful and eliminates the rest. This makes it one of the most important principles in the ancient science of Ayurveda.

Why am i telling you all this? Becase this concept also applies to our dogs!

Given their heightened senses, it is imperative that you ensure your dog has a healthy Agni. A weak Agni will result in indigestion, illness and low immunity.

You can ensure your dog has a healthy digestive fire by sticking to a routine, a well balanced diet, keeping your dog away from stressful situations and an Ayurvedic based diet with supplements.

IADL will be launching diets based on Ayurvedic principles soon!
