5 THINGS YOU SHOULD ASK YOURSELF BEFORE GETTING YOUR FIRST PET:
🐶WHY DO I WANT A PET?
Looking for love? This should be well thought of. Pets are not just for cuddling as they bring huge responsibility with them. If you don't have time to take them for outings or exercises then please opt out.
🐱WHAT KIND OF PET SHOULD I GET?
All people in the house should be comfortable with the pet. Choose a high activity pet only if you have a big place. Or you will have to take them out everyday for their physical needs. Dogs and cats have the tendency to destroy furniture or other things before they are trained. Birds can be very noisy and they p**p all day. Fish need special care with feeding and companions you add in the aquarium.
All of them need healthy diet, your time and friendly environment to grow.
🐰AM I COMMITTED TO RAISE A PET?
You have to be 110% committed to their needs. They are different from humans and disturbing their natural activities & cycles can have direct effect on their health. Their hair, nails, ears, teeth need regular cleaning. It is like running after a tornado if they are not trained for these jobs. They would need your time without phones. They will make mess and even damage a lot of things at home, have patience for that. It takes lots of work and commitment to understand them and train them.
🐠HOW MUCH IT COSTS TO RAISE A PET?
Pets are expensive, period. Regular vet visits, healthy food, accessories, treats, toys, supplements, vaccinations. Good to invest in a trainer for them to strengthen bond and adjust in the house easily.
🦜Where DO I GET MY PET FROM?
If you are looking for a specific breed, first consult with a professional. Then look for an authentic and responsible breeder.
Or you can adopt and bless a street baby with a forever home. Check for health or genetic issues before getting any pet home so you can give them best care or if you would not like that added responsibility.
