ZPM Shri Asamto Tikhak has felicitated zoo staff members Shri Akanto Hajong, Shri Dil Bahadur Thapa, and Shri Prahalad Kalita for their outstanding service in rescuing, releasing, and rehabilitating wild animals on Global Tiger Day. Their relentless efforts and commitment have led to the successful release of a Barn Owl, Hog Deer, and Snakes, and it is hoped that they will continue to deliver exceptional results in the future.

It was a milestone day for us, marked by the successful release of a rescued Bengal Slow Loris (Vernacular- Lajuki Bandar) into the wild by Shri Damodhar A. T, IFS, C. F(WL&BD), Itanagar, and other officials on the 28th of this month. We are dedicated to making a positive impact in helping our biodiversity regain its former glory. A call to safeguard our wild animals Smti. Mibom Singpho of New Singpho village handed over a rescued Slow Loris (Vernacular - Lajuki bandar) of Schedule-1 species to zoo authorities. This will indeed help to disseminate the message of protection and conservation of our rich biodiversity.

As part of efforts to preserve and protect our rich biodiversity, Shri Chelen Mossang of Old Plone village, Namphai-I has handed over a female Bear cub to the Zoo authority in the presence of C. F & Field Director Shri A.K Deka, IFS, Shri Mito Rumi, A. F. D and other officials. His noble deed will indeed spread awareness among the masses. For better care and rehabilitation, the rescued Bear shall be handed over to CBRC, Pakke team. Thanks to CWLW, C. F & F. D, D. F. O Pakke, CBRC Team for their concern.
