Pashupati Animal Welfare Society - PAWS This is an NGO for Animal Welfare that is registered under W. B. Societies Registration Act 1961 to aid ailing street animals. Reg # S/2L/59418, 3 Aug 2016.

At Pashupati Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), we believe in the power of community. What began as a small WhatsApp group of animal lovers in July 2015, quickly grew into a professionally-managed NGO, thanks to the dedication and passion of our diverse members - from military and police officers, to researchers and engineers, and even college students. Named after Lord Shiva, the protector of all ani

mals, our mission is to pool funds from our members and the public to provide the best possible care for animals in need. In August 2016, we became a shelter ourselves due to the overwhelming number of cases we were seeing. Today, PAWS runs a successful ambulance service, with a vehicle donated by Mrs. Maneka Gandhi and designed by our team. We pride ourselves on being the first choice for animal lovers in Kolkata, known for our reliable and effective treatment. PAWS was invited to & represented by our member Sumedha Das at the district level Animal welfare fortnight kickoff ceremony at Barasat ARD office on 12-Feb-2026.
On this occassion, various activities such as rabies vaccination of street dogs, seminar, awareness program and rally was organized.

পড়ন্ত বিকেলে মধ্যমগ্রাম দোলতলায় Pashupati Animal Welfare Society - PAWS র ফিডিং চলছে।
আমাদের ভ্যান চালক দাদা একা হাতে ঘুরে ঘুরে খাবার দেন, অবশ্যই বাটিতে বা কাগজের ওপরে করে যাতে পরিবেশ নোংরা না হয়।
বারোমাস আমাদের এই ফিডিং প্রোগ্রাম চলে।
এই ফিডিং করাতে আমাদের মাসে ৮-৯ হাজার টাকা খরচ, পুরোটাই আমাদের নিজেদের পকেট থেকে যায় কোনো সাহায্য সেরকম আমরা পাই না। দয়া করে আমাদের এই কাজ চালিয়ে যেতে কিছু অর্থসাহায্য করুন, QR code কমেন্টে দেওয়া আছে।🙏🏼

We would like to thank Ms Vishaka from the bottom of our heart for her generous donation of medicine & food towards the animals sheltered at Pashupati Animal Welfare Society - PAWS for treatment. These would immensely help us to treat animals whose mentors may not have the financial strength to pay for such costly medicines.

১৯/১ তারিখে খবর পাওয়ামাত্রই এই কুকুরটিকে আমরা Pashupati Animal Welfare Society - PAWS শেল্টারে তুলে এনে ট্রিটমেন্ট শুরু করি।
দুঃখের বিষয়, ২৩/১ তারিখে কুকুরটি মারা যায়।
আইনি পথে দোষীদের শাস্তি প্রার্থনা করছি এবং ইতিমধ্যেই আমরা পুলিশের সাথে পূর্ণ সহযোগিতা করেছি।

DSPCA meeting chaired by respected ADM (N 24 pgs) madam.
This was the first meeting of the District Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) - N 24 parganas district after formal formation of the committee, of which Pashupati Animal Welfare Society - PAWS is a member.
Fruitful initial discussion happened on Animal Birth Control & Anti Rabies vaccination (ABC-AR ) and responsibilities to be undertaken by the local government bodies.
Hoping for continuation of the drive and a successful & lasting solution to the stray dog issue.

বিরাটির এই ৩ মাসের মেয়ে বাচ্চাটিকে কেউ নিজের বাড়িতে নিয়ে ওর জীবনটা বাঁচাবেন?
রাস্তায় এরা ভীষণ ভাবে অবহেলিত ও নিগৃহীত হচ্ছে।
যদি কেউ সারা জীবনের দায়িত্ব নিয়ে ভালভাবে রাখতে রাজি থাকেন তাহলে কমেন্ট করুন, আমরা rescuer এর সাথে যোগাযোগ করিয়ে দেব।

Pashupati Animal Welfare Society - PAWS এর তরফ থেকে মধ্যমগ্রাম দোলতলা এবং আশেপাশের অঞ্চলের পথকুকুরদের ফিডিংয়ের আজকের ভিডিও। আমরা ১২ মাস শীত গ্রীষ্ম বর্ষা সপ্তাহে ৩ দিন করে ওই এলাকায় ফিডিং করাই। ছবি ভিডিও খুব একটা দেওয়া হয়ে ওঠে না কারণ যিনি ভ্যান নিয়ে ফিডিং করেন তিনি একাই সমস্ত দায়িত্ব সামলে আর একা হাতে ভিডিও করতে পারেন না।

এবার হোক আমাদের পেটে খাওয়ার উৎসব 🐶এই উৎসবের দিনে দয়া করে কিছু দান করুন 🙏❤️
