একটি চারপেয়ে নিরীহ প্রাণীর নির্মম মৃত্যুর আর্তনাদ – গয়েশপুরের নৃশংস ঘটনা
লালখানির পাশের শহর গয়েশপুরে ঘটে গেল এক ভয়াবহ ও হৃদয়বিদারক ঘটনা। মাত্র চার বছর বয়সী একটি নিরীহ কুকুরকে পিটিয়ে মেরে ফেলা হলো। কারা মারল? গয়েশপুর নেতাজী বয়েজ স্কুলের ছাত্ররা। আর এই বর্বরতাকে প্রশ্রয় দিলেন তাদের শিক্ষকরা।

বুকের ভেতর একটা অসম্ভব যন্ত্রণা ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। কীভাবে এমনটা করল? একটা জীবন্ত প্রাণীকে—যার বুকেও একটা ছোট্ট হৃদয় ছিল, যে ভালোবাসতে জানত, যন্ত্রণায় ছটফট করছিল—তাকে আনন্দ করে পিটিয়ে মারা হলো।
যেসব ছাত্ররা এই কাজ করেছে, তারা ভবিষ্যতের সম্পদ। কিন্তু এ কেমন ব্যবহার? যারা আজ একটি প্রাণীকে মেরে ফেলেছে, তারা আগামী দিনে কি করতে পারে, সেই ভেবেই গা শিউরে উঠছে।
আর শিক্ষকেরা, যাঁদের এই ছাত্রদের পথ দেখানোর কথা, তাঁরা কি করলেন?
বিদ্যালয় তো ভবিষ্যৎ গড়ে তোলার জায়গা।
কিন্তু যদি সেখানে এমন নৃশংসতা শেখানো হয়, তাহলে তারা মূল্যবোধ কী করে শিখবে?
এটা আনন্দ? এটা শিক্ষার অংশ?
না, এটা বর্বরতা। এটা বিকৃত মানসিকতার প্রকাশ।
আমরা খুব খুশি যে স্কুলের প্রধান শিক্ষককে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছে। এটা একটা ছোট্ট পদক্ষেপ, কিন্তু আশার আলো দেখায়। তবুও, শুধু একজনকে গ্রেপ্তার করলেই শেষ নয়। আমরা সরকারকে অনুরোধ করছি—এই ঘটনায় যারা জড়িত, তাদের বিরুদ্ধে কড়া ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হোক।
পশু মানেই কি তাদের বাঁচার অধিকার নেই?
তারা শুধু কথা বলতে পারে না, তাই কি তাদের প্রতি এমন নিষ্ঠুরতা চালানো যাবে?
এই ঘটনার প্রতিটি মুহূর্ত আমাদের চোখে জল এনে দেয়, মনকে অসহায় করে তোলে।
এই ন্যায়বিচারের লড়াইয়ে আমরা সকলে একসাথে আছি।
স্বামী বিবেকানন্দ বলেছেন, “জীবে প্রেম করে যেই জন / সেই জন সেবিছে ঈশ্বর।”
আমরা যেন এই ঘটনাকে ভুলে না যাই।
আমরা যেন এই কণ্ঠগুলোকে চুপ করে থাকতে না দিই।

Who were the culprits? Students of Gayeshpur Netaji Boys’ School — and shockingly, this brutality was encouraged by their teachers.
Just watching the video of the incident sends shivers down the spine.
An overwhelming sense of pain spreads through the heart.
How could anyone do this? A living being — one that hadlove, andart, that knew how to love, that was writhing in pain — was beaten to death for fun.
The students involved in this act are considered the future of our country. But what kind of future are we lbehaviourt if this is their behavior?
Those who can kill an animal today — what might they be capable of tomorrow? The thought alone is terrifying.
And the teachers, the ones who are supposed to guide these students — what did they do?
A school is meant to shape young minds, to build the future.
But if cruelty is what they’re being taught there, how will they ever learn compassion and values?
Is this joy? Is this a part of education?
No — this is barbarity. A manifestation of a distorted, twisted mindset.
We are relieved that the school’s headmaster has been arrested.
It’s a small step, but it gives us a glimmer of hope.
However, arresting just one person is not enough.
We urge the government to take strict and immediate action against everyone involved in this heinous act.
Just because animals can't speak, does that mean they don’t have the right to live?
Does their silence justify such cruelty?
Every moment of this incident brings tears to our eyes and leaves us feeling helpless.
But we stand united in this fight for justice.
