Presenting one challenging dermatological case, recovered after 6 months long treatment. Thanks to the pet parent for his patience and trust.

Went home to celebrate Eid.
Received a call from a marginal farmer from a nearby village whose livelihood is pretty much dependent on this milch cow which was suffering from illness for the last two months.

Collected blood samples. Today the veterinary parasitologist detected the organism behind the illness, Theileria, tick fever of cattle.

Learnt about Survival Surgery, Jugular vein, portal vein and bile duct catheterization & canulation, Brain surgery of rodents along with the participants from IITs, AIIMs, DRDO, PGI-Chandigarh & CSRI institutes.

বিষন্ন শীতের রাতে খড় চিবানোর শব্দে,
আস্তাবলে সুর তোলে পক্ষীরাজ ঘোড়ারা,
স্বপ্ন দেখে ফিরে পাবে হারানো ডানা
উড়ে যাবে ,
নগরের এক কোনে সবুজ ঘাসের সন্ধানে।

In a midnight call , the pet parent sounded worried when he found his 4 yr old Spitz (Choco) is just behaving like this after vomiting. Restless, panting and moving the tongue continuously with sunken eyes.

Seeing the video, I asked him to check the re**al temperature. It's a sign of increasing body temperature/ fever.

After giving anti pyretic / medicine for fever , the Spitz stopped those behaviours.
Also advised the pet parent few tests and other medicines.

When your dog moves his tongue continuously like this, consider that he is trying to cool his body by salivating. So check the body temperature and call your vet.

A good move... Stray dogs should not be used for Laboratory purpose.

CCSEA withdraws order allowing stray dogs to be used in vaccine trials; PETA had opposed it, calling it unethical.
