โ– I am just an individual and I am not a part of any other organisation/animal welfare lobby in Kolkata. NEVER WAS.
โ– I have rescued strays since I was a kid,provided treatment @ roadside since I was 14.
โ– I believe in doing my work only. I don't have time for petty politics & anything else.
โ– People who are calling/texting me about cruelty cases that needs attention but wants me to file a Police Complaint on their behalf, understand ONE THING.
IT DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY. YOU have to take the first step.
I will be there to support in every possible way,BUT IF YOU WANT TO DO SOMETHING, START WITH GOING LEGALLY.
Familiarise the Police IN CASE OF ANY INCIDENT OF CRUELTY OCCURS.
Yes it's a little harrowing.
Yes it will get expensive at times.
Yes it's tiring.
I know. And I also know "barrite ki bolbe."
At Howrah in my locality, people USED to poison strays. I was in school.
I STOPPED THAT. I have been the spoilt sport for the "bhodroloks" because I didn't let it slide if anyone messed with the street dogs.
I was in school.
There was NO SOCIAL MEDIA.
Chatterjeehat PS has heaps of my complaint. And they used to visit the spot,to make a report atleast.
Begged cops at one point just to file a report.
In my locality, situation is way lot better now touchwood.

We need people in every area who would take this "headache" for a stray animal not for clout but to do something in the long run.
I don't want to hear screams of wishful thinking. If you do the right thing, it will automatically create a stir because you are setting an example.
You need to take the first step.
It's all about priorities aka Dogs.
