# # # Germinating Sunflower Seeds in a Pot
1.Choose a Pot:
* Use a pot **6–12 inches deep** with drainage holes.
* Bigger pots are better for tall varieties.
2.Prepare Potting Mix:
* Use a **well-draining mix** (garden soil + compost + sand or perlite).
* Fill the pot, leaving 1 inch space at the top.
3. Plant the Seeds:
* Sow seeds **1 inch deep** and **2–3 inches apart**.
* For one plant per pot, place one seed in the center.
4. Watering:
* Water gently but thoroughly after sowing.
* Keep the soil **moist but not soggy**.
5. Sunlight:
* Place the pot in a **sunny location** (balcony/window) with at least 6 hours of light daily.
6. Germination Time:
* Seeds will sprout in **7–10 days**.
* Once seedlings are 3 inches tall, **thin out** to keep only the strongest one per pot.
