Dogs often don't like to be hugged or kissed because if you have ever seen two dogs interacting, there are myriad ways dogs say hello depending on if they know each other and are reforming old bonds, or are meeting for the first time and feeling each other out as they establish the pecking order. There is face smelling, rump smelling, tail wagging, play bowing but there is never hugging. Even among the best of friends. In fact, the closest approximation dogs have to a hug as we know it actually means something other than friendship. Hugging could be a sign of threat for dogs.
But with training, dogs can be taught to love to accept hugs and give kisses depending on the bond and trust they have with their owner.
Angel is a 9 year old Dalmatian who lost her 7 puppies few years ago which destroyed her psychologically! With lots of love and training Angel has developed amazing trust and bond with me and now she's obsessed with giving hugs and kisses to everyone! She has come a long way and is everyone's favourite.
Watch- Angel, come give me a hug πŸ’–

Bruno the lab is one of the most intelligent student I hav but he's a very curious dog which makes him want to put his nose everywhere. πŸ˜„
It wouldn't come as a surprise if I told you ,being so curious he loves to pull on the leash, so much that I tripped and fell once in the beginning! πŸ™ˆ
This is him today, walking perfectly on the leash. With a lot of patience, correction and consistency it finally happened.
When a dog learns to walk perfectly on the leash, he becomes a perfect partner to go out on walks and jogs with and it strengthens the bond between the dog and his owner!

Dogs are incredibly attentive, sensitive and love to communicate. They learn so much in their early formative weeks about their environment and the people they will be living with. Up until 12 weeks of age they approach new situations, animals and things with an adventurous, open mind. During this time they learn about body language, what noises, activities and places are normal and they learn to bond with other dogs, animals and people. Poor socialisation is the leading cause of behavioural problems, euthanasia and surrender to a shelter for behavioural problems.
