Bryan Adams and the tale of Indie dogs
Apart from the mind-boggling experience people had at the Bryan Adams “So Happy It Hurts” India Tour 2024 concerts in Calcutta, Shillong, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, he’s given us something special to cherish. The Please Forgive Me singer took to Instagram, sharing some special moments from his visit to the Indian cities. What caught our attention was his love for our Indie dogs. He posted three reels from Calcutta, Delhi and Mumbai, each featuring an Indie he met, and if you visit his ‘Gram you’ll spot how he chose the furry cuties as thumbnails to each reel.
For the Calcutta reel, he chose the number Aaye haaye by Karan Aulja, Neha Kakkar, Jay Trak featuring Nora Fatehi, and it immediately caught the attention of netizens. “Spent the day visiting sites in Kolkata, just off to Shillong for the second day of our fabulous “so happy it hurts” tour of India,” he captioned the reel which starts with a selfie of an indie bleeping. His touristy shot in front of Victoria Memorial has a separate fan base on the Internet right now.
Right ahead of his Gurgaon concert, Fun and Fur, an organisation for animals posted — “People coming for the Bryan Adams concert to Backyard Sports Club, Gurgaon, please drive safely! We have 70-80 dogs who live on this road, including pups who have no road sense yet. Thank you!,” The singer reposted it on his story, raising awareness among his fans who were to attend the concert. He also added a selfie with an Indie puppy to the post. "Delhi! Spent my day today in a local garden and of course sharing some love with the local dogs of which there are so many that need good homes. Off to Mumbai, so excited to be back in India,” he captioned his reel from Delhi, which featured cute moments with little puppies and moments from the concert.
In Mumbai, he visited the Gateway of India, and walked the streets for some delish vada pav, and his touristy video wouldn’t have been complete without a pose with a street dog. “Then of course I met a few street dogs who shared a moment with me for a sniff and a smile,” he added to the caption.
”Street dog lover,” commented actress Jacqueliene Fernandez on his post with appreciation. “And now we love you more. Our street dogs, streeties, as we call them are the soul of Mumbai…smart, loyal, lovable and brimming with hybrids vigour! That you noticed and appreciated them … Straight from the heart…makes you one of us,” commented a Mumbaikar.
The Polo Stadium in Shillong brimmed over with the audience singing along with him; in Calcutta, he asked, “Are you always like this at concerts?” and when the energetic audience screamed “yes” in unison, he hooted, “Then I should come back more often,” to a roaring crowd; and in Mumbai, he stole hearts coming down from the stage and singing along with his enthusiastic fans. All in all, his “So Happy It Hurts” India Tour was memorable, but his love for streeties has tugged on our heartstrings.
