🚨 ANNOUNCEMENT – PEACEFUL MARCH AT GURGAON 🚨

Dear Animal Lovers,

In light of the recent Supreme Court order on the removal of community dogs from Delhi NCR, we are coming together to demand a stay on this heartbreaking order.

📅 Date: Sunday, 24th August
📍 Venue: Leisure Valley, Gurgaon

This will be a peaceful march where voices of compassion will unite for our innocent community animals who have no one but us to speak for them.

While we are in the process of securing all required approvals, we request you to mark your calendars, prepare, and plan your attendance for this important day.

Let’s show the strength of a compassionate nation that believes in coexistence, not cruelty. 🐾❤️

👉 Stay tuned for further updates.

Together, we can make a difference.

🚨 Update on Delhi NCR Dogs 🚨
We aren’t sure if this move will truly be in favour of our community dogs, but Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has instructed officials to refrain from any harsh action against stray dogs and stay on "watch and ward" mode. No dogs are to be captured for now. Instead, a mega sterilisation drive is being planned, and tenders will be floated soon for the agency to carry it out.

While this seems like a small relief, our fight for justice is FAR from over. The Supreme Court has not yet issued a stay order on the 11th August judgment. A reserved order is not enough.
We demand:
⚖️ A complete reversal of the judgment
⚖️ An immediate stay order
⚖️ Humane, long-term solutions instead of displacement

🐾 The protests will continue. Our voices will not be silenced. Our community dogs deserve safety, dignity, and compassion. ✊🐶❤️

CJI Gavai Promises Review of SC’s Stray Dog Relocation Order Amid Public Backlash 🙅

In a significant development, Chief Justice of India B. R. Gavai has assured that he will review the Supreme Court’s controversial August 11 order directing authorities in Delhi-NCR to capture and relocate all stray dogs to shelters within eight weeks—without allowing their release back into public areas.

There has been a mass opposition from animal welfare groups, activists, and citizens who deem the directive inhumane, impractical, and counterproductive. Celebrity voices have also added momentum to the protests.

"Will the apex court balance public safety with humane dog management? CJI Gavai’s review may be a positive step toward a solution that respects both law and compassion.”

What's your take on this? Write in the comments section....

“LET THEM STAY 🐾”

The Supreme Court ordered that every stray dog in Delhi-NCR be caught, sterilised, vaccinated, and locked in shelters—never to return to the streets.👎❌

WE ASK:

* Why is compassion not part of public safety?
* Why ignore decades of successful ABC (Animal Birth Control) & vaccination drives that reduce bites and rabies?
* Why punish an entire species for isolated incidents instead of enforcing humane, science-backed solutions?
* Why spend crores on permanent sheltering—often leading to overcrowding, disease, and slow deaths—instead of street care?
* Why not seek an answer from the municipal authorities who have brutally failed in conducting sufficient vaccination and sterilization drives?

And the biggest question of all:
How can a learned mind, sitting at the peak of justice, sign off on an order soaked in fear and hatred, not empathy and reason? 😡❓

At Umeed, we believe in co-existence and freedom for all and hence, our voice is strong, and it is clear:
"What’s wrong is wrong" ❌

Street dogs are not criminals.
They are part of our streets, our communities, our hearts. ❤️🙏

A Childish Order by the Highest Seats of Justice 🐾

Three mature, highly ranked people of the Indian Judicial System have passed an order that shocks both reason and compassion. 😲😳😥

We ask—
Do they even have an iota of an idea what it takes to catch or capture a free-roaming dog?
Are all 3 lakh street dogs biting humans?
Are all 3 lakh dogs rabid?

Instead of making humane, science-backed arrangements, these people have misused their positions—exposing not leadership, but a deep, unshaken hatred towards dogs.

Sir, we appeal—
Please take charge of r**e cases, murder cases, mob lynching, and even the horrific incidents of dog r**e.
Don’t waste the weight of your chair targeting the voiceless, the defenceless, the innocent.🙅

Justice is not selective.
Compassion is not optional.

💔 Bozo’s Last Goodbye

We were so sure Bozo was on the road to recovery. His body was healing, but his heart… it stayed heavy. Bozo kept to one corner, silent, withdrawn, holding on to a sadness only he knew. 😔

Abandonment does that. It breaks them in ways medicine can’t fix. Some wounds go deeper than skin — they live in the heart, in the trust that’s been shattered. And sometimes, the heartbreak takes them away far too soon.💔

Today, we lost Bozo. He passed quietly in his sleep. It may medically be a heart failure… but to us, it was a "broken heart". A heart that never found its home again after being thrown out by the only family he had.😔🥺💔

At Umeed, we tried to make him feel safe, wanted, loved. But what Bozo wanted was a real home — and sadly, no one came forward. Not to adopt, foster, or even be his virtual parent. He truly left this world all alone… except for us, holding him in spirit.😥

Please… never abandon your pets. You are their only family. And when you leave, most of them cannot find the will to start over.

If you’re reading this, take a moment to think of Bozo and send him your love. 🕊️
Bozo, we hope you’ve finally found peace. Wherever you are, know that we cared.
