Selene’s Journey of Courage and Recovery 🐾

From being unable to move to taking her first independent steps, Selene’s story is a testament to resilience and hope.

Rushed to CGS Hospital after a traumatic fall, Selene suffered complete loss of reflexes in her hind legs and tail. Our surgical team performed a complex spinal stabilisation surgery to preserve neurological function and support her recovery. Post-surgery, she underwent dedicated rehabilitation, gradually progressing from supported standing to walking independently. 🐾✨

Her journey reminds us that with expert care, patience and determination, even the most critical injuries can be overcome.

Building global expertise to restore movement 🌍

CGS Veterinary Hospital proudly supported and facilitated the participation of our Deputy Director, Dr. Vikash Singh Chauhan, in an advanced Total Hip Replacement training seminar at ORSI Academy, Belgium. It brought together veterinary surgeons from around the world to enhance their skills in transformative orthopaedic procedures available for canine patients.

Chronic hip conditions like osteoarthritis, hip dysplasia, and luxoid hips severely restrict mobility and quality of life in dogs. Acute injuries such as fractures and dislocations can cause immense pain, difficulty in walking, or outright loss of function.

The training equipped the CGS Team with advanced surgical techniques, case-planning methods, and post-operative rehabilitation protocols that adhere to global best practices, strengthening the Hospital's ability to provide orthopaedic care to companion dogs and cats.

Keats & Juno’s Journey to Better Movement 💙

brought her 10-year-old companions, Keats and Juno, to CGS Hospital seeking support for age-related mobility concerns. As siblings, both required attentive care — with Keats facing pronounced hind limb weakness that affected daily movement.

The team introduced underwater treadmill therapy as part of Keats’ rehabilitation. With consistent sessions, strength, balance, and confidence gradually returned, helping restore comfort and ease of movement.

What stayed with Aanchal was not just the advanced infrastructure, but the compassion shown throughout the process. At CGS, companions are cared for as family — with patience, empathy, and commitment at every step.
