There’s a sudden rise in stray dogs attacks on pets in the urban areas. Someone who’s sensible will definitely find out the reasons ‘WHY?!’ (Instead of being violent and cruel to the street dogs). Let me take an incident from my locality- a society street dog named Biscuit, who’s an inhabitant of the said territory since he was a pup & now is approx 5-6 yrs old. He’s playful, mischievous in his goofy ways but nothing that would raise an alarm & require any sort of violence against him. A random pet dog who’s a Rottweiler is let go of on him as his owner accused biscuit for barking on his dog. Biscuit gets chased and bitten terribly all over his body. Now Biscuit becomes defensive and territorial against some pet dogs who he thinks will endanger his home and life. What he starts doing is snapping at some big dogs especially pets. The owners of these pets find faults in Biscuit & shout at guards to chase him out of the society.
Who’s at fault here?
Its the first owner of that Rottweiler! No one else!
As clearly mentioned in the image, street dogs behave in a certain defensive way to just protect themselves and their territory. It takes time for them to comprehend the concept of pets after they meet new dogs in their territory, who are apparently on leash/harness!
There’s no justifying and denying the unfortunate accidents of pets being chased and bitten by street dogs. But there’s a reason why showing compassion and kindness towards others is called ‘humanity’! Bcz we humans have the potential to manifest coexistence with sustainable solutions to the human made problems!!
