Bhairav(24/02/'25~17/04/'25)๐ข๐๐
The story of a Street Pup and a Community Animal lover...
My little angel Bhairav, on the day I lost my Velvet, You were born in a litter of six. You all came as a ray of light. Your parents and two elder siblings (whom we feed daily among others), are so dear to us.
Your first sibling passed away right after birth and the rest 5 of you grew up in your Mom's care. Everyday at 4:30 am and late at night, we go to feed you pups, as that is the only time we could be with you peacefully. In a society we belong to a minority group of people who love and care for street animals.
At 5 weeks your second sibling was run over by a car and died. After a few days you and another of your siblings got badly hurt by vehicles. We took you to the vet and got treated. You recovered. But four days back, while going to feed you early morning, we found your lifeless body. You too were run over by a car and passed away. We wiped our tears, fed the other babies and took your little body to burry with honour in a nearby place. Every time we lose one of you, it devastates us and squeezes the life energy out of our bodies. Because we LOVE you deeply and we Pray hard for your safety and survival. But at the end, we do have to surrender to the divine planning.
Bhairav, you were only 7 weeks old and you all started learning new things and explore the vicinity. Today when we see your three surviving beautiful siblings (your brother looks exactly like you!), we miss you two like anything. Everytime we come back seeing you all, we leave a part of our heart behind, worrying about your wellbeing. Because the life of a street dog isn't easy. Very few people show the sensitivity they should, towards you angels. Over the years we've seen your Mom lose most of her puppies due to various reasons.
In the last 12 yrs, We've adopted 14 dogs at home, out of which we've lost 8(not to mention the ones on the street). We've seen death and suffering from so close and so often that it can't be expressed in words. But what we got loving you all, is INVALUABLE! Yes, loving an Animal wholeheartedly takes sacrifice, selflessness and immense courage. And I truly believe that Animals, who fill our hearts with so much Love, Joy, Empathy, Compassion and Faith are No Ordinary Souls.
Yes, we CHERISH every moment with you, every joy and every pain that has expanded our hearts and helped us evolve in a way nothing else could.
Because we've signed up for this and given a choice we'd choose you Angels a million times over. Run free over the Rainbow Bridge my love..โคโจ๐พ๐ซ๐
