🎇Consumer Fireworks ban approved in the Netherlands - starting 2026 🐾
The Dutch government has approved a nationwide ban on consumer fireworks, with one of the main reasons being the protection of animals - including pets, livestock, and wildlife who often suffer fear, stress, and injury during loud celebrations.
The ban is expected to fully take effect for the 2026–2027 New Year, while this year’s New Year’s Eve will still follow current rules.
Professional fireworks shows organised by cities may continue under strict conditions.
