‘The Great Indian Dog Show 2018’ was organized at Phoenix Market City in Chennai. The event was organized by Blue Cross of India and was aimed at encouraging people to adopt homeless animals from shelters and bring together people who have adopted Indian dogs. There were more than 30 categories of awards for dogs, such as ‘Naughtiest Dog’, ‘Lovely Lady’, ‘Best Rescue’, ‘Curliest Tail’, ‘Dog Which Kisses The Owner The Most’ and ‘Most Handsome Male’. An adoption drive for indie puppies and rescued adult dogs from their own pedigree section was also held during the event.

Afghan Hound is known to be a very old and intelligent breed of dogs. This unique dog has a very unique and different appearance. It has a long and thick coat. They were earlier used for hunting in the deserts and mountains of Afghanistan. It has a lifespan of 10-12 years. The price of this dog starts from 2,50,000. The long hair will make it not particularly suited for hot Indian weather. But it is a great family dog as we had covered here

Every dog catcher should watch this Video.
This is the last part of the movie 'Hachiko, A Dog's Story'.
After nine long years of waiting faithfully for his dead master (Richard Gere), Hachiko now old and weary, limps to the same spot in front of the railway station where he had waited faithfully every day.

In the cold snowy night as people walk out of the station exit he recollects those joyful moments of his life that he had spent with his master.

Then, his master appears at the station exit...........

Hachiko feels the years and weariness drop away from him.............

He runs to greet his master who takes him away to a place where the two of them would be together.......................forever.

The master's grandson finishes narrating the story of Hachiko to his classmates who had initially thought this 'soppy' story of a dog, a big joke. But they are emotionally moved at the end of his narration.

When he goes home it is with another Hachiko of his own.

All this happens to Jan A.P. Kaczmarek's beautiful music in the background.

A great movie for a family to watch together.

But have some tissues handy.
