SMART Zambia staff completed a 3-day cybersecurity training on ISO 27001, data protection, and digital compliance, boosting national cyber resilience.
Some employees of the e-Government Division (SMART Zambia Institute) have successfully participated in an intensive, high-level training program on Cyber Security, Data Privacy Protection, and Information Security Management – ISO 2700 – offered by the Technical Centre for Climate Change and Agricultural Development (TCCCAD).
The 3-day training held at Sandy’s Creations in Lusaka, focused on Cyber Security & Information Security Management, Data Privacy Protection, Advanced Electronic Records Management System and ISO 27001:2022 Standard Compliance
SMART Zambia Senior Engineer under the Server Management department, Mr Davies Chisunka delivered a keynote speech at the training’s conclusion.
The training brought together key institutions, including: Zambia Army, Zambia Correctional Service, Ministry of Technology and Science, Ministry of Information and Media, Ministry of Finance and National Planning, e-Government Division (SMART Zambia Institute), ZANIS, ZNBC and Public Service Pensions Fund
This initiative underscores Zambia’s commitment to strengthening national cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance with international standards.
